Chapter 8 (Gone)

Kurapika's POV

"Sir. Good morning! These are the papers you requested from the research team and the accounting department."

My secretary Mr. James Jimenez placed the papers in my table. I just nodded and took the papers and started scanning it.

"Before I go sir, do you want me to buy you a coffee?" He ask.

I nodded.

"Usual sir?" I nodded again.

"Alright sir. It will be here in your table a few minutes." He said before he walked out of my office.

When I heard the door closed my hold on the paper loosened. I can't seem to focus. My mind was wandering again about that woman. There's too many questions bugging on my mind.

I shake my head. I have work. Thinking about it is nonsense and pathetic.

I started scanning the papers and I was clouded with work I just had my break during lunch.

I heard a knock and later on I heard footsteps coming on my table.

"Good afternoon sir! Here's your lunch prepared, no pork of course."

He has been my secretary for about 5 years, he knows things simple as this.

I just nodded and that's his cue. I closed my eyes a bit and opened it again and I took the phone on my table and dialed a number.

"I want to order lunch. Your best selling. For 2 people." I dropped the phone after the talk.

Crazy. Annoying. Pathetic. Fuck. I could just let that woman starve into death though.

Later on I started eating my lunch and went back to work. I was now busy reading the paper by the accounting department. Readied myself for a bump of papers I need to sign.

Clock strikes 5 fast. I fixed my necktie and went out of the office and rode the elevator to go to the basement and drove myself into a restaurant.

Aiden restaurant welcomed my eyes. Fantastic. I went out of my limousine after I parked it and went to the entrance of this restaurant. Staff stilled in there position and some are panicking.

"G'evening sir! What can we help you?" The manager went near me. His tag told so.

"Table for 2."

"Right away sir." The manager guided me to an empty room in the VIP.

I made myself comfortable and I look at my watch impatiently. 5:05. One more minute and I'll be out of this room.

"Hey there Willow, I'm not yet late. I know how impatient you are." He went near me and hugged me.

"Seconds late." I rose up and returned the hug.

"Forever the time conscious bestfriend, are we?" He was raising his eyebrow playfully.

"I have important businesses." I responded.

He chuckled. "Alright. I know you Willow. I was just teasing you."

The waiter came in and we ordered.

"Just a minute. It's rare to see you here in your restaurant."

I just shrugged.

"I need to go." I stand up and fix myself.

"Wait. I wanna hang out with you. Let's go to your ho---"

"No!" I shouted.

He look at me weirdly. After a few minutes the food is pack.

"Huh? What's new with your house you don't want me to go?"

I look away. "Nothing. I'll go."

I went out and started my way to go to the parking lot with the food in my hands. While driving to go home I can't help but wander about that woman. Fuck. I don't even know where she came from and her name. How come she manage to get in my house without me knowing.

It's already dark. After a few minutes I reach my house. The gate automatically opened and I parked my car on the garage. I went out with the food im holding and went in.

I saw Aiden on the sala alone. I went near him.

"Hey. Where is the woman?"

He look at me and he suddenly hugged me.

"She's gone."
