Zero's P.O.V

Once me and Keiko had finished dancing, she looked to what it seemed Takehiko-senpai. I didn't know why but I sort of felt a pang of jealousy in my chest. I saw that she nodded and she excused herself. I turned to see Akatsuki and Hanabusa walking somewhere. I decided to ignore it and went on with the boring ball.

Yuki's P.O.V

|starting to where she was with Kaname on the balcony|

I went to thank Kaname and was about to leave when he grabbed my wrist. He asked me to dance as a 'thank you', so I accepted. We danced slower than the tempo of the song that was actually playing. I kept thinking of something else. Those words that Maria had told me. I kept thinking and finally made up my mind. I stopped dancing and Kaname asked me," What's wrong?" I looked up at him. His eyes showed concern but no love whatsoever. I kept looking up at him and I said," I'm sorry.............. I'm so sorry!" I dashed out of the balcony leaving him there alone. I decided on what to do, if it was the only way to save Zero.

^ a/n: so I didn't put the part where Yuki found out Zero was a Vampire,so I'm going to do a flashback( oh and not all the words are exactly like in the anime or manga. I only remembered most of the words with the words from the deal done with Maria Kurenai) to that event in thee......... two.................... one.........^

Flashback +

I was looking for Zero when I was patrolling the school grounds. I was still scared of that little level-E vampire that attacked me. As I was walking, I heard a noise startled making me drop the flashlight I was holding. I raised my hands up to my face in horror remembering that horrible monster. I began to run not noticing where until I saw........ Zero. I was at the top of the stairs and I told him," There you are!" I kept walking towards him until he said," Get back!" I looked at Zero, my eyes filled with sadness. " I thought I understood you. I thought we shared the same pain...... but I was wrong." I turned around to leave Zero but he grabbed my wrist, revealing the wound. His eyes turned red and in an instant, I was under his arms. His fangs nearing my neck, I was bracing myself when........... I was pulled away!?

I turned to see Keiko blocking Zero's way from reaching me. I tried to pull her back but it was too late. Zero grabbed her wrist and bit her. He devoured her blood greedily......... leaving no space for her to escape. He took his fangs away from her wrist but then traced his lips to Keiko's neck. I was about to do something, anything, but then I heard Keiko-senpai say(faintly at first)," run...... run Yuki........ RUN!!!!"

I stood there, horror filled my eyes. I was useless right now. I couldn't do anything to help Keiko-senpai right now. Just like that night. My knees gave up and I slid down to the floor. Thoughts kept clouding my mind. I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice Kaname approach behind me and said," How does her blood taste like. Does it taste delicious that the monster inside you took over?" I looked up to see Keiko out of Zero's grasp. I stood up knowing that Kaname was infuriated by this. I felt a pang in my chest but decided to ignore it. My thought ' Kaname........ IS GOING TO KILL ZERO' kept repeating in my head. I didn't want that to happen so I ran in front of Zero and said," Kaname don't......... don't kill Zero!!!" This tension was too excessive. I didn't know how to deal with it. Once again, I lost my senses, fear kept overpowering me. My knees kept shaking and I slid down to the wooden floor. I saw Keiko's pained face. She approached me and I looked straight at her. Our gazes locked because now,I have to people who saved me. Kaname.......................... and Keiko. I began to cry. Why didn't Zero tell me this sooner.... why!? Keiko then bent down to where I was.She reached her hand to wipe my tears away but I slapped it instead. She sighed and said,'' I'm sorry you had to see that. I hope you can forgive.............. Zero......... " She fainted in front of me. Her wounds were deep and her breathing was rather slow. Kaname picked up Keiko and left with me behind them.
