Three's side
You tremble as the world switches around you, and you find yourself in a room you know too well.
Endless rows of books coiling and twisting towards the large windows in the distance, and the rosace you have never seen from up close.
The Sun seems vague, as it is a day of winter in Wano when the pale clouds shadow the light as a layer of forgotten ghosts.
Long, carved wooden scenery runs by the walls, before the lines of the ancient library begin.
The dark figure stands next to you, its shoulders dropped as it reveals the scene for you, using the stolen power that was once yours.
You barely dare to breathe as you see a little girl, sitting in a little bed in this infinite hall.
She doesn't feel like she belongs here, in this home of another, born of royalty and grace.
Her rose-blond hair is wet by her face, as she switches the cold fabric above her blazing forehead.
"You were not allowed to fall ill," whispers the Lunarian opposite her. "You were not."
Your heart drops, and you stumble to stay where you are.
This memory has been so old that you forgot it a long time ago, or maybe you could never hold on to it, as your child self seems to have a grave fever.
But even if you remembered, at that age, it must have been different for you.
You couldn't see how anguished King looked or how he collapsed into a smaller version of himself as he fell back towards sorrow, while your little heart beat weaker and weaker.
"Why are you showing me this?" you ask with clenched fists, turning to the creature by your side.
Death has lost its smile. It presses a clawed finger over its mouth before pointing back at the memory.
"I'm cold," rustles the child, tears flowing down her face. "I'm sorry, King. I can't fight today. I know you said each day I will have to, but it hurts and I-"
"You will fight again once you heal," answers the Lunarian harshly, and she thrills, hiding a little under her blanket. "Now, rest. That's an order."
"I don't want to sleep," she shakes her head. "The nightmares are stronger since I don't feel well."
"Nightmares make you more powerful," snaps the man, his black wings moving a little as he sits. For the past few minutes, he has been glaring at his hands, debating something. "You will heal."
She smiles a little.
"You healed Promise too, didn't you?" she asks brightly. "Can you heal me?"
You freeze at the same second as King, and when he looks up, his crimson eyes gleam in the light of the fire on his back.
He doesn't answer, only his gaze drops back to his hand.
She pouts and huddles herself up.
"You must sleep, girl," says the Lunarian with a hoarse, uneasy voice. "You have been awake for too long. You will run out of energy, and that will be the end."
"I'm scared," she whispers, her long hair falling to hide her face as she embraces herself because she had nobody to hug ever since she was brought here. "I don't want to."
"I will stay here with you."
"I'm alone in the dreams!" she cries out suddenly, sitting up. She starts sobbing as she coughs from the sudden movement. "I'm always alone there! And they scare me, they always scare me!"
