After what felt like ages, the examination day finally came. And Y/n rarely left the castle, save for her secret escapes which Nozell immediately put a cap on, allergic to the idea of fun.

So adventuring to the Noble realm felt like a treat; Y/n gleefully bounced to every vendor imaginable, half of her pockets and backpack full of Yul just itching to be spent, the other half brimming with useless trinkets and decorations for her future room.

"Ooo how much?" She asked, pressing her face into a Grimoire Belt display, the colors and prices varying.

"230 Yul." The vendor kept it short and to the point, not wanting to be seen associating with someone as odd as Y/n. Her appearance calls all the wrong attention.

Y/n didn't mind his disdainful looks, being indecisive as ever. "And this one?" She moved to a different one; it was pure white with black accents. Not the usual color mash she'd go for.

"400 Yul."

Y/n eyed the holder, sizing to her hips, the design and holes made it easier for her to personalize it with keychain and other clips she wished to add.

"Hmm, I'll take it!" She handed the vendor his money and quickly moved toward the next vendor before ripping herself away from the tempting items, needing to stay focused. She had already wasted enough time.

Her gaze narrowed onto the giant colosseum, preventing herself from getting distracted. However, the closer she went, the more people came into view.

So many humans huddled together in small circles, assessing each examinee, some shouting words of encouragement. Others have nothing else better to do with their sad lives than poking fun of the shabbier-looking contestants.

She inhaled, grasping her pendant as she walked through the parted sea of spectators. Their previously loud assessments instantly shifted to hushed whispers.

"What a strange girl.."

"She's definitely not from around here."

"Seriously? They let a foreigner take the exam? How repulsive.."

Y/n glanced at the gossiping humans, uncaring of their opinions. It's nothing she hasn't heard before. Though she subconsciously styled her hair in a way which covered her ears.

While following the signs leading towards the registration booth, she saw two familiar figures deciding which line to stand on. She happily sighed now she's found someone she knew.
