Taehyung's eyes bore into Jungkook's, a mix of desire and restraint evident in his gaze. "You don't know what you're doing to me, Jungkook," he murmured, his voice barely more than a breath. "But if you keep pushing, I might just show you."

Jungkook's pulse quickened, the intensity of Taehyung's words and the closeness of their bodies making his head spin. He swallowed hard, his own breath coming in shallow gasps as he tried to maintain his composure. "Maybe I want to see," he whispered back, his voice trembling slightly but filled with determination.

Taehyung leaned in closer, their lips just a few millimeters from each other. Jungkook closed his eyes, trying to enjoy the kiss that seemed inevitable. But it never came. Jungkook opened his eyes a few seconds later to find Taehyung had again made some distance between them.

Taehyung was looking at Jungkook with a mischievous grin. Jungkook pouted, "Why didn't you kiss me?"

Taehyung smiled, his eyes twinkling with a mix of affection and restraint. "Because, once I kiss you... I won't be able to stop. One kiss won't be enough. Just kissing won't be enough. The beast in me is asleep right now. Let's not wake him up before time."

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red, his heart racing at Taehyung's words. He bit his lower lip, trying to hide the small smile that threatened to appear. "You're such a tease," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his hand gently caressing Jungkook's cheek. "Maybe I am," he admitted.

He then offered his hand to Jungkook. "Let's go? You don't want to be late for your own event."

Jungkook took his hand and entwined their fingers as they walked to their car. Both of them sat in the backseat as the driver started driving towards the venue. The whole time, Taehyung was looking outside, a small smile playing on his lips, while Jungkook was looking at his lap, playing with Taehyung's fingers. His cheeks were a bright blush, and a genuine smile lingered on his lips.

As they arrived at the venue and the car stopped in front of the bookstore where the event was being held, Taehyung got down from the car and opened the door for Jungkook. Jungkook took the hand Taehyung offered with a shy smile and got out.

He linked his arm with Taehyung's, and they walked inside, the crowd's eyes following their every move. The audience was diverse; people of all ages read Jungkook's books. Teenagers, middle-aged fans, and even a few senior citizens had gathered to meet their favorite author.

Jungkook smiled at all of them, genuinely waving as they made their way inside. The warm reception filled him with a mix of excitement and nerves. As they entered the bookstore, Jungkook was guided to the stage while Taehyung let go of his hand, moving to one side of the room to watch, admiration clear in his eyes.

Jennie, his editor, stepped up to the microphone and began her introduction. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for being here tonight. It is my great pleasure to introduce the author of the evening, a truly talented storyteller whose words have touched so many of us, Jungkook!"

The audience erupted into applause and cheers as Jungkook made his way to the stage. He smiled brightly, his heart swelling with gratitude. The stage was set with a comfortable couch and a coffee table, creating an inviting atmosphere.

Jungkook went and sat on the couch, taking the mic in his hand. He smiled at everyone and started speaking, the crowd falling silent, eager to listen to his words. "Good evening, everyone! Thank you for attending this event and making my life brighter with your presence. Today, before the book signing and reading an excerpt like I do every time, I want to tell you guys something very, very interesting which I think you'll like."
