20. Jealousy 2.0

Me and Shweta talked for a few more minutes about what optional subject we selected and why and other random things.

"Hi Parthi" I heard a male voice behind me.

I turned around to see who it belonged to.

It was a boy.

Of course it would be a boy Parthi a male voice would belong to a boy only.

He was quite tall. He would probably be around 5'7. Tck, still shorter than Rishi.

He looked good though. He had a good physique. And he had the height. He was fair and had beautiful amber eyes.

Out of all his features, his eyes stood out the most.

"Hi" I said with a smile on my face.

Don't get me wrong. I am loyal to my guy. But that doesn't mean that I should be rude to others.

"I am Ayush" He said with a smile on his face.

"Hi Ayush" I said.

"Ayush would you not say hello to me?" Shweta asked from behind me.

Ayush passed her a look before saying

"Why should I?" Ayush dryly said and folded his hands.

"Hold on. You both know each other?" I asked being confused.

"We were in the same class before as well" Ayush said.

"Ohh" I said.

"Would you like to be friends with me?" Ayush asked warmly.

"Oh I would love to" I said with a smile.

"Then would you also be friends with me?" Another boy behind him asked me.

Wait, I have seen this guy somewhere. Ah! Yes I remember.

"Of course I would love to be friends with you as well Kush" I said to him.

"How do you know my name"
"How do you know his name"

Kush and Ayush asked me at the same time.

"Pfft. Of course she would know you Kush. You were right behind her in the school newsletter about our boards results" Shweta said with a DUH tone.

"Not fair Parthi. I was there in the newsletter too" Ayush said in a sulking tone.

"Yeah you were like at the almost bottom Ayush. Why would she even notice you" A girl said coming from the back side of the class.

"Oh shut up Mishti" Ayush said rolling his eyes.

"Hi I'm Mishti. Mishti Singhania" She introduced herself to me.

"Hi Mishti. I'm Parthi" I said with a smile.

"Yeah. I know. In fact almost everyone knows you. After all, you're the school topper" Mishti said.

I just smiled awkwardly. I don't know how to handle all this unwanted attention.

"You can get comfortable with us. We're all friends from before. We were all in the same class so just don't mind our misbehaviour please" Mishti said.

That explained the mini roasting session between her and Ayush right now.

I just nodded at her statement.

"So, are we all friends then?" Ayush asked looking at me.

I just smiled and nodded.

I am so happy that I made so many new friends on the first day itself.
