Rishi's Point of View:

"And, so, she let us go" Parthi said.

She was telling us about how she was called by our vice principal to sign up for the position of the head girl.

"It's not quite settling with me that she just let you go" Vansh said.

"Yeah. She's quite known to be a headstrong woman" Dhvanil said.

They sure are correct. Hetal Ma'am is quite stubborn and headstrong when it comes to getting things done.

"Okay well, whatever happens, atleast she let you off the hook for being the head girl" I said.

"Yeah. Atleast for now, I am free" Parthi said.

"Yeah. Atleast for now" Dhvanil said.

"Class, come on, form a line. It's time to go for assembly" Arpita ma'am said.

We all started to head outside our classroom to make a line and then go to the ground.

We had our morning assembly in the school ground.

A bonus point is that every class had to go for the assembly so, there were chances of me seeing Rishi. If I was lucky enough.

I know we do come to school together everyday and we stay together pretty much the entire day, but it's just somehow not enough.

I know I sound like a lame cringe girl but hey, come talk to me when you have a crush and I'll see what 'cringe' stuff you do.

"Bro I've got this weird feeling in my stomach" I said to Mishti.

"What happened bro? You alright?" Mishti asked me.

"I don't know bro. I've just got this weird feeling. It's just hard to explain it in words" I voiced my concern to her.

"It's okay. Let's wait and see if something happens. We'll be careful though" She said.

I just nodded as response.

We reached the ground.

Ha! It is indeed my lucky day. Rishi's class's line was just next to ours.

I don't know how this arrangement happened today. But I'm glad it happened.

And just as I thought I couldn't get any luckier, as we got arranged and aligned with the other classes' lines, me and Rishi were just next to each other.

Damn! God is definitely proving to me that I am his favourite child. It really is my lucky day.

I'd might as well buy a lottery ticket today.

"Damn! Parthi, how does it feel to be god's favourite child" Mishti whispered to me from in front of me.

As we were standing in order of our heights, shortest to tallest, Mishti was ahead of me as she is a bit shorter than me. Whereas Shweta was a bit behind us as she is a bit taller than us.

But wait, how is Rishi next to me if we're all standing height-order wise?

I look at the front of the line and I see some unfamiliar faces of boys at the start of the line.

Ohh wait! Why am I wondering and making assumptions. Let me just ask Rishi.

"How are you next to me today" I leaned in towards his direction and whispered to him cautiously so as to not get caught by our teachers.

"The line of our class was a bit long and the boys in bio class are lesser in number so, your dear brother asked us to shift here" He said.

I just nodded in understanding.
