Carl: I must say, this is the first meal I ever eaten without having a stomach bug.
Nick: Oh come on, that only happened once. I've gotten better!
Carl: Heh, no need to get all excitable, I was only joking.
Nick: Well no one's laughing.. *Nick mumbled. He finished his food and leaned back in his seat*
*Nick notice the listener wasn't eating, not a single bite. Which caught Carl's attention when his twin looked at them with a concerned look*
Carl: Um...human? Are you feeling okay? You haven't touched your food.
Nick: Maybe you joking about the food being poison made them lost their appetite. *Nick said while getting a bit of food that's stuck between his canines with a toothpick*
Carl: Hush now. *Carl then look over at the listener who is sitting in silence, staring at their food*
Carl: I'm really worried about them Nick.
Nick: Hey if they're not hungry, then they're not hungry. In fact- *Nick takes the listener's plate* I got room in my stomach for more. *He said before taking a bite*
Carl: Honestly Nick, do you have any manners?
Nick: It's not rude if they don't want to eat.
Carl: But you don't know that-
Listener: No no, it's alright. I'm actually not that hungry. *The listener nervously chuckled*
Carl: What do you mean you're not hungry? You haven't eaten in hours. You gotta be starving by now.
Listener: ....
Carl: Human, talk to us and we can help you.
Listener: It's nothing really. You don't have to worry about me.
Nick: If it's nothing. Then why do you sound like there "is" something?
Carl: Is there something you're not telling us?
Listener: Listen, I appreciate you guys taking me inside your place to aid and feed me. But there is a slight issue.
Carl: What's the slight issue?
Listener: I...really don't have a place to stay.
Nick: Is that it?
Listener: H-Huh?
Nick: Let me get this straight, you're refusing to eat because you're stressed?
Listener: Yeah?
Nick: And you're stressed because you didn't want to tell us you don't have a place to stay?
Listener: That is correct..?
Nick: And you're worried that...?
Carl: Nick..stop interrogating the human. If they don't want talk about it then don't force it out of th- UGH!! Why did you knock me to the wall...?!
Nick: I'm not interrogating anyone. I just want to get to the bottom of this. Clearly something is wrong and I want to know. By where this is going, the human is comfortable enough to talk about it.
Listener: I'm worried about getting kicked out because I would be too much of a burden and a free loader.
Carl: Th-That's what you're w-worried about..? *Carl asked, trying to get up from the harsh impact*
Listener: Yes.
Nick: Why the hell would we do that? Now that we know you're homeless, there's no point in letting you go. That is if you want to risk your whole life in the wilderness with animals and monsters.
Listener: ...I kinda did that in my whole life.
Carl: You don't have anyone to help you? You know, provide you any needs? Food? Shelter? What about your parents? Are they still around? *Carl asked with a worried expression*
Listener: I wish I had someone that could've helped me. But unfortunately, our village was raided and we had to evacuate. Some of us survived but some didn't. We camped out as long as we can. The lack of food and water was difficult for us to survive. Suddenly, monsters attacked the camp sight, killing several people. I was the only one alive and ran for my life. As I kept running, one of the monsters got me.
Listener: I thought I was dead. I didn't think I was gonna make it. That was when you guys came.
Carl: That's horrible that a village you grew up has been in shambles. My dear, it's a blessing that you were the only one alive and it's a good thing we found you. After everything I heard, there's no way in hell we would let you go back with danger lurking about. Even if your village wasn't destroyed. We would gladly welcome you with opened arms.
Nick: However, I do want to find out who's responsible for this damage. That is if you're comfortable.
Listener: .....
Nick: You can say no if you don't want to. We won't force you but we're worried that our town will be next.
Carl: Nick is right, if the enemy is still up and about. Then our village could be at risk.
Listener: I'll do it!
Carl: Ehhh??? Hey I said you don't have to if you don't want to! We're not trying to scare you!
Listener: I want to find the culprit.
Nick: Do...you remember who the culprit is?
Listener: I don't, it was all a blur. My main focus was saving the villagers and evacuating. I didn't have time to observe, I'm sorry.
Nick: No need to apologize. We thought you'd remember.
Listener: Although...
Carl: Although?
Listener: I did see glimpse of a man.
Carl: A man?
Listener: Uh-huh, he was big heavy armor, riding a big black horse and holding a large katana.
Carl: Did you get a glance on his face?
Listener: He was armored from head to toe so I couldn't tell.
Nick: We'll worry about his face later. Right now, we gotta be aware of a heavy armored man riding a black horse.
Carl: Right... *Carl lets out a sigh*
Nick: Nervous?
Carl: I would deny and say no but...human..are you sure you want to do this? You can stay here and we'll investigate.
Listener: Do you know where my village is?
Carl: ....No...
Listener: *They chuckled* That's why I'm coming with you.
Carl: R-Right...haha...I knew that. Ahem, right. Let's get some sleep and we'll start our journey now.
Nick: Mm...*Nick sleepily groans as he was laying on his side on the floor*
Carl: On second thought, we'll start our tomorrow morning-
