After the trio left, [Name] had eventually explained to Claire and Engel what had happened. It was met with about the same reaction as the one they had expected. "Are you sure you can trust him? I mean.. it's Edward," Claire asked, with Engel offering a small nod of agreement. "Not really, but I have to at least try," [Name] responded. They did understand Claire's extreme reluctance, though, considering he was close with the people who had performed the prank that got her killed. At least he seemed better than the other two, from what they had seen.
"If you're sure. Just be careful," Engel relented, the worry on his face fading a little. He trusted their judgement. Besides, it was their issue after all. Him and the others were just far too involved, and for Bubble and him it was something they had gotten themselves into on their own accord.
"I will," [Name] assured, offering the two a smile. It was one that Engel returned near instantly, with Claire taking a bit longer to reciprocate the expression. It didn't exactly quell their worries, but it eased them enough to where they wouldn't get severely stressed over their safety. [Name] wasn't even sure if it would work out, but they hoped for the best.

The day afterwards, [Name] didn't find that they got immediately harassed by Oliver and Zip, so they assumed that Edward hadn't let any information slip. They walked to their class with their usual group, parting with Lana to get to their respective classes. However, when they walked into their first class, they noticed a small gift box had been set on their desk.
They sat down, pulling the box closer to examine it. The exterior was rather plain, only containing a light pink hue. They could feel Claire, Abbie, Bubble, and Engel's curious gazes on the gift as well. Oliver, Zip, and Edward stared at it too, with the former two likely having a suspicious glint to their stares. [Name] tried to ignore the looks as they lifted the lid, revealing a white ribbon and a note. They picked up the note, written in a neat cursive, which read:
To [Name],
Thank you for what you did yesterday, it means the world to me. I wasn't entirely what to get you as a gift, but I hope you like it. I know it's not much, but I still wanted to pay you back somehow.
-Lizzy
It was short, but [Name] appreciated it nonetheless. They remembered that Lizzy often wore white ribbons in her hair, and wondered if the one they had been gifted was one of hers. They didn't dwell on it too much, placing the note back down in favor of picking up the ribbon. They attempted to tie it around their wrist like a bracelet, struggling a bit throughout the process.
