2nd POV:

"Long ago, there was a mysterious island- filled with gold and many other precious treasures. Many came to the island to seek out its treasure, but no one ever left the shores alive, for the island was home to a ferocious beast. It consumed everything around it, the trees and water too. But as the flora and fauna dwindled, the mounds of treasures grew."

A man in a business suit steps up onto an unusually large rock, raising his fist up in determination. Rays of sunlight shined from behind his head, portraying his image as something like a hero's.

"One day, a brave man appeared. He vowed to rid the island of the beast and use its treasures to help the poor locals. Hearing this, the locals told him the beast had skin like stone, hair like iron nails, and teeth like daggers. And it could rip a man in two with little effort."

"But the man was not afraid- so the locals offered him their very best weapons. However, he only took with him a knife and a bottle of drink."

In a tiny rowboat, the man, holding a dagger in one hand and a bottle of drink in the other, miraculously rows the boat to the legendary island.

"Upon reaching the island, he let himself be caught by the bast. But just before the beast could eat him, he said, 'You can eat me, but you can't drink of that bottle!'" The beast, holding the man over it's mouth, stopped and looked at the bottle of drink. "Why not?" It asked.

"'Because if that drink is taken together with human flesh, it will poison you!' The man explained with such sincerity, the beast- and after all it was still a beast, believed him. 'Very well. Since you can't run away, I will take a sip today and eat you tomorrow!'"

"Immediately after taking a sip, the beast fell asleep. So the man escaped death that day."

The man, this time tied to a tree, whispered to the beast the very next night under the full moon. 'You should take another sip tonight, for it is a magical drink. On full moon nights, it becomes more delicious; indeed, it's taste will be unforgettable.'

The beast, which after all and yet again, was still a beast- believed the man. 'Really? Since you can't run away, I will take a sip tonight and eat you tomorrow!'

"Upon taking a sip, the beast fell asleep again. So the man escaped death that evening. The next day, before the beast could eat him, he said, 'What a shame! After today, the drink will no longer taste good, so you should finish it before it goes bad!'"

'Oh? Well, since you can't run away, I will finish the bottle today! At this time tomorrow, I shall eat you!' The beast growled, and downed the bottle, having believed the man. "So the beast gulped down the rest of the bottle and fell into a deep sleep."

"Now that the beast had taken a large dose of the drink, nothing could wake it. So the man freed himself with his knife and examined his captor. After studying the beast, the man discovered a weakness in the sole of the beast's foot."

"The man then placed sharp stones all around the sleeping beast, and when it woke up, it stepped on the stones, and it's foot was pierced. Injured, the beast fell to the ground and howled in pain."
