This is it, you tell yourself. You would decide whether to go along with Poppy's path to revenge, or leave this factory behind (or try to, at least). Dogday had called Ollie to get a hold of the redhead so you could talk in person, just like you had half a day ago. However, there wouldn’t be any more hostility between you and the doll, there’s no more time for fighting amongst yourselves.
With the scraps of energy the bag of chips provided, you and the orange canine head back to the square, making yourselves comfortable on the artificial grass. It isn’t long before Poppy and her pink companion make an appearance once more, and they also sit with you. The situation is akin to a council meeting.
“Alright,” You begin, ensuring your posture is straight as you address the present company. “I want to start by thanking Poppy and Kissy for agreeing to meet with us here again.” They nod in acknowledgement, and you focus your gaze on the smaller toy. “Poppy, Dogday and I have considered your proposal of you sharing your food with us if we agree to help with your plan. Before we give our answer, we would like to hear your strategy on killing Catnap.”
The doll nods again before speaking in her higher voice. “We know that Catnap is our main obstacle when it comes to redirecting the red smoke, so I think we should eliminate him as soon as he shows up. Y/N, where exactly did you see Catnap?”
“In this room at the end of one of the hallways, I saw a huge purple thing run through it. Then, when we were walking away, he threw something through the door, a Grab Pack I’m pretty sure, then threatened us about staying in Playcare. P- Dogday actually sensed him before I did.” Your furry partner hums in agreement.
“That’s right. It’s like I can feel if he’s close. He would have killed both of us if we stayed in there.”
“I see…” Poppy hops down from where she was sitting on Kissy’s crossed leg, pacing on the ground in front of you. “If he made an appearance in the counsellor’s office, then we can set up a planned attack there. We can continue to go to the generator to hook it up to the power board, and if Catnap shows up, we’ll attack him with everything we’ve got. It sounds like Dogday can detect him pretty well, so that will be his job while we carry out the assault.” She stops walking back and forth, hitting her palm with a fist, her next words with a tinge of wrath. ”He won’t know what hit him.”
You take in this proposal, and you have to admit, it does have some promise to it. “Alright, sounds good so far. But what can we use as weapons?”
“Actually, Y/N, that’s where you come in. That Grab Pack of yours has a lot of potential. I was thinking we could overcharge the conductive hand and deliver a powerful shock to Catnap. It might be enough to kill him outright, or at least stun him enough to finish him off.”
“We could use the batteries from the power board, or the generator if we get close enough to it.” Your mind is turning cogs, trying to find a solution. “But it’s not a guaranteed way to defeat him.”
To your surprise, Kissy raises her arm to point to your right. Confused, you look down in that direction, realising she’s pointing at the Grab Pack’s inbuilt flare gun.
A flare gun which produces sparks…
“What if we set him on fire?” You suggest. “I can use my flare gun to light up some makeshift weapons, even explosives, something to fight Catnap with. All we would need to do is get close enough to light him up, there’s no way he could put it out.”
Kissy nods her head vehemently, evidently pleased that you understood her.
“I think that might work, Angel. Good thinking, you and Kissy.” You smile gratefully at his support, and Poppy has a look you’ve never seen before: Hope.
