The last thing I'd expected for Saturday was to run into Jordan.

And even more unexpectedly, I enjoyed lunch with her family and my friends. It was odd, but I did enjoy it.

But, that felt like something friends do. Like meeting the parents so they know who you are when you come over, but that wasn't the case. For me at least.

I don't think I'll be going over to her house anytime soon.

Another thing that took me off guard was her using a shortened version of my name. I've always been just Riley or Riley-Ri from my parents.

Jordan calling me Ry did something to me. It was odd to have her say that at first. But the second time she repeated it, a warmth surrounded me. More than I'd like to have warmed up.

So much so, that I began to blush. And I felt my heart jump a little in my chest.

After lunch, Banks dropped me off at home and I had to call Rainnie. My parents are the type of people who you can talk to about your problems so freely.

They have a set way of thinking and when a person's mind is already made up about something, it's always near impossible to change it.

I talked to her about the endless thoughts running through my head and surprisingly, almost all of her friends offered a smaller piece of advice.

The most notable being,

"You shouldn't feel a need to be put into a box moon, especially because of how we grew up," Rainnie said.

"I know you feel like things changed between you and Jordan, so don't hold back and try to put it off, just go with the flow and see where it all goes," Vivian said.

"I'm not a relationship person but I do think you should explore whatever it is you feel for Jordan. Maybe even ask her out. Take the leap of faith because you truly never know where it could all go. Just take a leap of faith with her." Valentina said. And I heard a sound of agreement in the back from Quinn.

And all that piled together, it did help me make sense of everything.

However today is Monday, I hate Mondays more than any other day. But I still try and wake up in a good mood.

I have the same six classes I have every other day. The first three past me by easily. They were English, Maths and Chemistry.

It was all a bunch of worksheets we had to complete from work we'd done the previous week, memory stuff.

But now I have AP Geography. I'm not into the humanities subjects but if I want to become a lawyer, I'm kind of stuck doing them. At least until college.

"Right we all know in two months we have the California Worlds trip," Mr Barten started. "We'll be exploring the dynamics of three different countries to prepare for this trip. The United States, Mexico, and Nepal." He said.
