Coded Law, Volume 3

Nori Kibe

2 days till the IPOW.

The next day everyone was at the police station. Brandon,Jun, Mr.Miyuki and Mr.Nakayama were all going over evidence that they had gathered. All of them were looking at the phone call made to Kat and the reports from Seku Himaka.

"So we know she lives here. If we pursue-"

"This will be our one and only chance. Miyuki, can you think of anything? Anything at all that may show the white rabbit's movements recently?" Mr.Nakayama asked to which Mr.Miyuki shook his head. "Not a word in the streets from our boys. They haven't heard nothing underground." Mr.Miyuki said. Jun was watching with Brandon in the back. She leaned aginst her father's desk, but Brandon was sitting on the desk with him biting his thumb.

"We're so close. Once we get this Kat chick its all over for our white rabbit friend." Jun said. Brandon's eyes were looking at everyone. His mind going back through the previous cases involving the white rabbit.

"This all doesn't make sense. Why is he letting us get so close and with no resistance either.

Kibe.

What are you planning now? It has to be a big move. Theres no other way this plays out. If he doesn't make a move soon. He'll be caught for sure. All the evidence points to him now." Brandon said. Thats when a disturbances would be heard at the front desk of the station. They all looked to see what was going on. Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki walked over to see, only to see Kibe arguing with some officers.

"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU'RE DOING! I WANT YOU TO FIND HER DAMNIT!" Kibe shouted. "Sir our officers are doing the best they can. But we can't release anything regarding the investigation." Said the woman at the desk.

"I work here, I should be allowed in on some discretion!you can't just keep me out of the loop like this!" Kibe said with a frustrated tone and nearly pulsing temple. Some more officers came over as they tried to calm Kibe down. Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki were both dumbfounded by the display happening right now.

"....W-What is happening right now?" Mr.Miyuki asked

"I-I...I'm not sure. I need to closer to this." Mr.Nakayama said as he walked, as he did he'd slowly fix his composure,  but secretly his mind was going 100 miles an hour. "What is this? Some sort of desperate attempt to get us off track during the case? Or is this you finally breaking down? What ruse is this?" Mr.Nakayama though as he walked over and Kibe looked at him.

"Nakayama, finally a guy with some real influence. Look man, its my girlfriend. I need to know of shes ok." Kibe asked with a worried tone. Brandon walked over and took notice of the situation. He saw the worry and concern painted on Kibe's face. It was impossible for him to tell if it was genuine or not. Brandon watched in total confusion as Kibe showed actual emotions. Brandon was thrown through a loop. Jun walked over too and saw the whole show.

It'd be a little later when the Kibe would be brought into questioning. Brandon, Jun and Mr.Miyuki were all standing behind the other side of the one-way mirror. While Mr.Nakayama and Philies both stood infront of the interrogation table with Kibe in front of them. Mr.Miyuki noticed first before Mr.Nakayama, but Kibe's appearance here was much more different. Infact it was a complete 180 from their first interview.

Kibe was cold, his posture almost inhumanly straight and perfect. His face was like a ice wall. When Mr.Miyuki looked at it for the first...it was an expression, a face like nothing he had seen in all his years. But now? Now when sees Kibe his mind recognizes a human being, his eyes see someone with actual emotions expressing themselves. Even Mr.Nakayama was beginning to see it. Kibe was patting his hands on his pants as he looked at Mr.Nakayama and Philies nervously. His face showing genuine worry.
