Thomas and Diesel were now as engines on the tracks. Thomas looked over at Toby, who was about to take up the green flag.

"Okay engines, start your engines!" Toby chuckled.

Diesel started himself up, and Thomas heard the inside of him, sound almost near to how a truck or a bus would start up.

"Of course, he's a diesel, he can do that," Thomas thought to himself.

Diesel revved himself, by keeping his gears in neutral but turning the throttle forward.

Thomas did what he saw Duck and Oliver did, he blew steam all over the station.

"On, your marks... get set... GO LADS!" Toby said waving the flag.

Thomas and Diesel jolted forward, and they both were off.

"You can take him, Thomas!" Oliver cheered.

"Go, Thomas!" James smiled.

"You can do it engine of the prophecy," Gordon said.

"Don't call him that," James grunted.

Thomas had never pushed himself like this before. It felt like his undercarriage was working over time. Anytime he was the engine on the island for the past few weeks, he was always afraid of going too fast. But now, he felt a bit free.

Diesel was right next to him.

He was a little forward of Thomas, so, he was technically in the lead.

"Come on, keep up!" Diesel said, a lighthearted tone in his voice.

Thomas heard it. "H-Huh?" He asked.

"I know you can go faster than that!" Diesel said, rolling his eyes. "Come on, give me a real challenge,"

"B-But the speed limits," Thomas said.

"Mate, the speed limits are higher than what you're going right now," Diesel said.

Thomas thought about it. Then he thought, 'What the hell,'

He jolted forward as he allowed more pressurized steam to push into his piston valves, and he slowly started to pass Diesel.

"Oh! Bloody hell!" Diesel gasped as he saw Thomas slowly heading away from him. "Okay, okay! Too much challenge!" He chuckled.

Thomas wasn't sure about Diesel, but... he had to chuckle at that. "Well, that's why they call me the British Challenger," Thomas smirked.

Diesel had a confused look on his face, as he looked at Thomas's tail light. "British Chall-... Wait... Really?!" He busted out laughing. "Okay, that was a good one!"

Thomas smiled. Which surprised him. "I am from Union Pacific now," Why the hell is he smiling at this guy?

Rapid chugging, and loud diesel engine sounds were echoing throughout the air, as both Thomas and Diesel blasted through the countryside.

Thomas couldn't help but take in the beauty of Sodor around him. He still couldn't get over all of this green lushous grass, and the bright blue sky. It was just beautiful.

Thomas continued to chug fast, he saw a station coming up.

"That must be Ballaswein!" Diesel called out.

Thomas looked at it.

"You might wanna slow down a bit,"

Thomas blinked. "Oh sure, like I'm going to fall for that," He said with an amused face. "How stupid do you think I am!"
