(Chapter 3)
Tommy awoke with a start, his head throbbing from the night spent in the cold, harsh cave. As the events of the previous day came flooding back to him, he sat up, his heart pounding against his chest.
It was all true. The horrifying scene he saw through the window, Ranboo killing Tubbo and Tubbo's screams and his blood that was splattered all over the walls and the window.
He shuddered as he realized the magnitude of what had happened.
He was scared to move. Scared that Ranboo would find him. Scared he would be Ranboo's next victim..
For a solid 10 minutes Tommy sat motionless, his body frozen with fear. Every little sound around him seemed to be amplified, each rustle of leaves and creak of the cave walls making his heart skip a beat.
Every fiber of his being was screaming for him to flee, to run as far away from this nightmare as possible.
But the terror, the fear of being spotted, was stronger. He couldn't move, couldn't breathe. All he could do was sit there, listening, praying that he wouldn't be heard.
Tommy's eyes widened as he saw the enderman approaching him. Fear gripped his heart as he frantically backed away, his body pressed against the cold, damp stone of the cave wall.
"No, no, no," he muttered under his breath, his voice quivering. "Please, don't hurt me..."
The enderman stopped a few feet away from him, its blank, expressionless face studying him intently. For a brief moment, neither of them moved, their gazes locked in a tense standoff.
Tommy's heart pounded so loudly in his chest that he could swear the enderman could hear it. His mind raced with thoughts of imminent danger, his body tensed and ready to bolt at the smallest sign of hostility.
The enderman's eyes, glowing a dull green in the dim light of the cave, scanned over Tommy's trembling form. Despite its menacing appearance, it made no move to attack. It seemed almost curious, its head tilting slightly to one side as it scrutinized the trembling human. The enderman holds out a grass block.
Tommy's heart skipped several beats as the enderman's slender arm extended forward, a glowing grass block clutched in its spindly hand. The sight was so unexpected, so bizarre, that he nearly forgot to be afraid.
He stared at the block, his mind reeling, his fear temporarily giving way to confusion. Why was the enderman offering him a grass block? Was it a peace offering? A trap?
He cautiously took the block, his fingers trembling as they closed around it. The grass block felt surprisingly cool and smooth against his palm, almost soothing."W-what..." he managed to croak out, his voice barely more than a whisper. "What are you doing?"
The enderman let out a low, guttural noise in response, almost like a grumble. It stepped closer, its lanky frame towering over Tommy, who was still pressed against the cave wall.
It watched him intently, its glowing eyes locked onto his face. There was a strange intensity in its gaze, like it was trying to communicate something to him without words.
It then teleported away leaving tommy by himself in the damp forest.
As suddenly as it had appeared, the enderman was gone, its tall silhouette vanishing into thin air in a shower of purple particles.
Tommy sat there, completely bewildered, the grass block still clutched in his trembling hands.
The forest was eerily silent around him, the only sound being the rapid beating of his own heart.
He took a deep, shaky breath, trying to calm his racing mind. The encounter with the enderman had been strange and unsettling, yet it hadn't attacked him. Instead, it had given him a grass block before disappearing.
Tommy wasn't sure what to make of it all.
Why would an enderman, normally hostile, suddenly show him kindness like this?
Shaking his head, he forced himself to push aside his questions and think. He was still in danger, he was still near the cave and Ranboo could still be looking for him. He had to get out of here, to find a safe place to hide.
With one last look around, he got to his feet, clutching the grass block tightly against his chest.
....
He continued running.Tommy knew exactly where he was going...
But he doesn't like the person but it was his last hope for safety.
He would rather be there safe than be killed by one of his best friends in the middle of the woods..
Will he make it there though?.
