"A TOAST TO... bellas before fellas."
Riley, Olivia and Layla clinked their glasses of orange juice together before they all sat around theBaker's island counter. The three hadn't been together in what felt like ages, and after the chaos of the last few days, Riley was more than pleased to be here.
Riley and Olivia had made up. Olivia called her later the evening after her blow-up to apologize and Riley did the same for assuming she was using again. Olivia assured her she wasn't and the two were better than ever.
"I'm surprised you weren't holed up in the studio this weekend," Riley voiced to Layla as they sat.
"Yeah, I'm taking a break from the studio," Layla nods, matter-of-factly. "Things got weird between Spencer and Coop last night, and now I'm worried things are gonna get weird with me and Coop, so--"
"So you're hiding," Olivia and Riley say in unison.
"Yes, absolutely." Riley snickers a small laugh. "What about you guys? Any big plans? Any news with certain lovers?" Layla asks reaching over and nudging Riley with her elbow.
Riley blushes slightly at the not-so-discreet mention of her boyfriend. The girls knew about Riley and JJ completely. In fact, the two threw a mini celebration when, as they phrased it, 'Riley finally came to her senses and realized she was in love with him.'
Now, jury was still out if that whole sentence was true, but Riley was happy. Yet, there also seemed to be a little trouble in paradise.
The blonde girl shrugs like a little girl with a crush. "I don't know. I'm just happy. He's been great these few weeks but..." Olivia and Layla lean closer, clearly interested in the topic. "The other day after the incident with Jordan... I don't know, I just still feel like there's a lot of unresolved stuff between us."
"What? Like unresolved feelings?" Olivia asks, taking a sip of the orange juice.
Riley shrugs. "I'll always love Jordan, you know. Like, of course I will. He was my first love, but... I don't know. I just don't think JJ see's that. I think he's still worried that I'm going to go back to him."
Layla shrugs. "Maybe you just need to show him you want to be with him. Like some romantic gesture."
Riley shrugs. "Maybe. But, enough about me. What about you, Liv?"
"Uhm... Asher has some surprise itinerary planned for this weekend, right down to the second," Olivia kisses her teeth.
"Oh," Riley nods, as if Asher hadn't rambled on about it to her two days ago. He seemed very proud of it. "Intriguing."
