A promise of new beginnings
The next morning, th e family arrived at the beach, the sun rising over the horizon and casting a golden glow on the sand. Nat was happily playing with the sand, his giggles filling the air. Jeff and Vegas sat nearby, watching him with affectionate smiles.
"Look at him, Vegas. He's so happy," Jeff said, his voice filled with warmth.
Vegas nodded, his eyes never leaving nat. "Yeah, he loves the beach."
As they enjoyed the serene moment, Vegas's phone rang. He answered it, his expression shifting slightly as he listened. Turning to Jeff, he said, "Kim's brothers are here. They'd like to meet you."
Jeff felt a flutter of nerves in his stomach but nodded. "Okay."
As Kinn and Tankhun approached, their eyes widened in shock and disbelief upon seeing Jeff. Tankhun's eyes filled with tears, though he tried to hold them back.
When they reached Jeff, Tankhun couldn't contain himself any longer. He cupped Jeff's face, his lips trembling. "Kimmy," he whispered, his voice breaking as he hugged Jeff tightly, sobbing into his shoulder. Kinn stood beside them, gently stroking Jeff's hair, his hand resting on Tankhun's back for support.
Jeff felt a wave of emotions crash over him. He looked at Vegas, who stood silently, tears streaming down his face. Unsure of what to do, Jeff tentatively placed his hands on Tankhun's back, trying to comfort him.
Tankhun pulled back slightly, still holding Jeff's face. "I thought we lost you forever," he said, his voice choked with tears.
Jeff felt a deep sadness and confusion but also a strange sense of connection. "I... I'm here," he said softly, unsure of what else to say.
Kinn's voice was gentle, but firm. "Khun, enough. Jeff can't breathe when you crush him like that."
Tankhun reluctantly pulled back, his eyes searching Jeff's for answers he couldn't articulate. With one last, lingering look, he turned and walked to his car, his posture reflecting his deep sadness and hurt. Kinn offered a quiet apology. "I'm sorry," he said before following Tankhun. They watched as the car drove away, taking with it a piece of their shared history and unresolved pain.
Jeff leaned heavily against Vegas's chest, needing the support as he tried to process everything. The raw, unfiltered pain of Tankhun and Kinn had stirred something deep within him, and he felt their hurt as if it were his own.
"How did they know me?" Jeff asked, his voice barely a whisper.
Vegas held him close, his embrace conveying a world of comfort. "Those weeks I was with them, I told them our story."
Jeff nodded, tears slipping down his cheeks as he absorbed the morning's emotional weight.
Few months later
The morning sky was gray and overcast as Jeff and Vegas drove in silence to the cemetery where Kim and. Venice was laid to rest.
When they arrived, Jeff felt a lump form in his throat. The cemetery was quiet, the gentle rustle of leaves the only sound. They made their way to Kim's and his son grave, a beautifully kept spot adorned with fresh flowers and tokens of love from those who remembered him.
Vegas knelt down, placing a bouquet of flowers on both grave. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, then opened them to look at the gravestone. The name engraved there felt like a part of him, a part of his past and present entwined.
Jeff stood beside him, his hand resting gently on vegas shoulder. Together, they bowed their heads, offering a silent prayer for theirsoul. The moment was heavy with emotion, yet filled with a sense of calm and closure.
After a few moments of silence, Vegas spoke, his voice soft but filled with conviction. "Kim, I will always remember our love. It will forever be in my heart, guiding me as I move forward with Jeff. Thank you for being with me, for showing me how to be human, and for helping me become a great father."
vega's tears fell freely as he looked at the grave. He gently placed a hand on the gravestone, his voice trembling. "Kim, I miss you every day. I promise to live my life in a way that honors your memory. "
Jeff knelt beside vegas, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. ". I'll take care of Vegas, and together, we'll keep your spirit alive."
We will always remember you, Kim. Thank you for everything you gave us, and for bringing us together."As they stood up, a sense of peace washed over them. The visit to their grave had been both heart-wrenching and healing. Jeff felt a renewed sense of purpose and connection to both Kim and Vegas.
They walked back to the car hand in hand, the clouds beginning to part, allowing rays of sunlight to break through. It felt like a sign—a symbol of hope and new beginnings
Happy ending
