hey guys so I finally got an idea for the Thanksgiving chapter  when Zoe and Tommy are younger. Also I changed the name of my other fanfic to The Lost Demigod. Any ways comment what you want me to do next

Zoe's POV:

The doorbell rings and I run to get it. But not before Dad does. "Hi. Happy Thanksgiving! Please come in." he says gesturing to the living room right off the main entry. Everyone steps in and takes off their coats and shoes to sit down.

"Happy Thanksgiving." Tommy said giving me a kiss.

"You too." I said after. The rest of my family comes in and we talked until my mom asked me to help put things on the table.

"I see that you have typical gender roles here seeing that the women are doing the cooking and Lena was put a Swiffer duster back in the closet when we arrived." sneered Clarisse

"Mother!" Tommy hissed ashamed about what she just said. "I'm sorry."

"No it's okay. I'm sorry you have to deal with such a rude, assuming mother. You see first of all my father did most of the cooking tonight and I made a pie and was just trying to be helpful right now. Second of all the only reason Lena was putting away a duster was because she took some things out of the closet to get a new glass since we dropped one. And thirdly it is wrong of you to just assume that because two strong, independent women got up just go set up the table." I said. Clarisse just sat there in shock, then a look of anger set in. I had never spoken to her like that. I had never spoken to anyone like that.

"Excuse me?!" she said standing up, "What makes you think that"

"Okay that's enough!" my mother said pulling me into the kitchen. "What makes you think you can say things like that? Especially to adults?"

"But Mom" I started.

"No! After dinner you will talk to her and say you are sorry."

"But"

"Nope. This is not up for debate. Now go put the sting beans out."

"Fine." I grabbed the tray and angrily walked into the dinning room to set it down. After about 5 minutes of back and forth from room to room. The table was full. I then walked into the living room. "Dinner." I said with a fake smile plastered on my face. People began sitting at the table and Tommy pulled me aside.

"You okay? You kinda blew up back there." he said.

"Yeah. It's just, you know how I feel about that kind of stuff." I replied

"I know. I've never seen you talk to anybody like that before."

"I'm pretty sure your mother hates me now, even more then she used to."

"Maybe. But what you did was kinda badass. I liked it."

"Oh yeah?" I asked.

"Come we should get to dinner. Sooner we do, the sooner we can eat your apple pie." Tommy takes my hand as we walk in and we continue to do so under the table.

After everyone was stuffed I cleared the dishes. All the others went to the den to watch some football replays. I didn't want to so I stayed and washed some dishes. Even with our big sink there were still too many to fit in so a few had leftovers to be packaged up and others just sat on the counter waiting to be washed. Just then Clarisse walks in.

"I want you to know that I did not like the way you spoke to me earlier." she said leaning against the door frame.

"I know I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that but I tend to get really worked up over sexism and gender rolls. And when people say things like that they make me angry. But that doesn't give me a right to be disrespectful." I stated.

"You're right it doesn't but I get where you're coming from. Being a girl in the Ares cabin isn't always the easiest. At least you speak your mind. I like that. Maybe your not as bad as I thought."

"Thank you?" I said unsure about that last part.

After a little I went to the den and sat next to Tommy. "Oh good." he said then kissed my cheek, "I was just about to get you."

"Want to go hangout upstairs or something?" I ask.

"Sure." And with that we hold hands walking up the stairs.
