Elyria exited the simulation door and saw Gus outside. He was leaning on the wall, hands crossed his chest and a smug look on his face.

"I see, you've found a way to hack the simulation device", he said.

Elyria stared at him but didn't say anything.

"What else are you keeping secret?", he said but not really expecting an answer.

"What are you gonna do about it? It's not like you're going to tell anyone if you don't want me taking the spot on "The Wipers" team.", Elyria said returning the smugness.

"Oh, but why would they want someone who reached the highest level because of hacking and not because of their strength?", he said checking his nails before returning his gaze to Elyria.

Elyria took a deep breath through his nose and said, "The same thing why they wouldn't pick someone because of their use of steroids, I guess.."

Gus' eyes widened, his mouth turned into a sneer, "Good luck finding evidence on that. While I have this", he waved his watch in the air, and a small hologram popped out of it showing Elyria wearing the simulation device.

Elyria watched herself on it, the screen showing the level she attained turned to fifty as the recording played at high speed.

Gus pressed a button that made the recording stop and returned to crossing his arms on his chest, he leaned closer to Elyria's face, "I guess I have the upper hand here", he whispered.

"Tsk. You know what? I really hate doing this to you, but I have to.", Elyria bit her bit her bottom lip but that didn't keep her from smiling.

Gus took an uppercut on his chin, his teeth rattled from the impact, but before he could react, Elyria's hands were on the back of his head pulling him towards her knee.

His face smashed on her knee once, twice, and felt his consciousness slipping away slowly. Everything went black, and when he tried to regain his consciousness, he felt the world was turning sideways.

He felt the hard tiled floor of his right as he fell, he didn't fight to open his eyes since every time he did, more pain shot up in his temples. Quick hands were on his wrist as Elyria tried to remove his watch.

"For the record, I know exactly where you've been hiding your drugs. Let me know when you're ready to talk about my conditions for keeping my mouth shut.", Elyria hissed in his ear before his mind went totally dark.

Bada

Chocol and I were walking behind the girls who invited them to the movies. She learned that their names were Violet and Sierra.

The afternoon wind is cool, and the horizon's sky has a purple and pinkish hue as the sun has just set. Planet Narvi is at a distance, its semicircle sitting in the sky. It kind of looks like that if you throw a slingshot hard enough, it'll reach it and it will bounce back to you.

Father said it was overwhelming at first. That they had to get used to it, they had to remind themselves that it wouldn't collide on Bergelmir, that they were safe.

But most of us, the first generation that was born here find it mundane. I, on the other hand, am fascinated by it. I like to stare at it every chance that I get.

It makes me forget about all the responsibilities and the expectations that I have to meet.

It was a good day to be outside, unlike inside the camp where we could barely see the sky being inside the clustered buildings.
