I walk into school to find my friends hanging around my locker, waiting for me.

"What took you so long, dude?" One of my friends, James, asked me when I arrived at my locker.

"Cameron slept in late so we had to wait for him," I shrugged casually and got all the books I needed for the day.

"You know you're not gonna pay attention in class anyway, so what's the point in getting all your books?" Josh, James's twin brother, asked me.

I just shrugged and walked to my homeroom class. I was not in the mood to talk much today.

When I arrived, I put my bag down next to my table and sat down.

A while later, Gabe, another one of my friends, came and sat beside me. "You okay?"

"I'm fine," I said, not wanting to talk about my feelings.

"You sure? If it's about your sister, you know you can talk to me," He reassured me.

"Look," I turned to him, "I'm just worried about how she'll react to us- to me," I told him.

Julie and I were the closest, well second closest, between everyone in the family. I've changed a lot since then and I don't know how she'll react to me as a person in general. I don't know if she'd like me- hell I don't even know if she'd want to be around me.

I also don't know how to act around her, and I don't know if I'll be a good enough brother to her or be the brother she needs.

"Don't worry too much. She's probably scared and anxious. Just give her some space at first and be yourself. I mean, if you were her favourite back then, then there's no doubt you'll be her favourite now," He urged and went to his original class seat as the bell rang.

I hope he's right.

As the Winter brothers came home, they were greeted by the image of their father typing on his computer with a frown and their mother chatting to someone on her phone.

"Okay, we'll see you then. Thank you, goodbye," Estrella hung up the phone and placed it in front of her on the dining room table, where they sat.

The boys all went to greet their mother, one even asking who she was talking to.
