Chapter 9.
Crystal's POV

My eyes were fixed on the metal grates around the sink of the bathroom. The cold radiating from them made me shiver as the sunlight creeped in through the windows, a sharp pain hit me in the shoulder as I tear my gaze away from the sink and turn to glare at Ron.

"Are you even listening to Harry?"
"Yes I am, why?"
"Didn't seem like it."
"So you decided to hit me in the shoulder? How charming."
"Shut up, go on Harry"

I roll my eyes at my twin brother as I straighten my back against the wood of the stall dividers, it had been a week since the quidditch match and Gryffindor had won despite a rogue bludger and Professor Lockhart's spell that caused Harry to spend a few days in the hospital wing whilst he re-grew his bone. My gaze falls back towards the sink as my confusion grows, the morning after the quidditch match I woke up on the bathroom floor by the sinks with no memory of falling asleep. I remember reading books with Myrtle but after that my mind is completely blank, I can only guess that I must of fell asleep but even though that's the only explanation it doesn't seem like something I would do.

"Again? You mean, the Chamber of secrets has been opened before?"
"Of course. Don't you see? Lucius Malfoy must have opened it when he was at school here, and now he's taught Draco how to do it."
"I don't think so Ron, from what I've read about the last time the chamber was rumoured to be opened was nearly fifty years ago. That's before Lucius Malfoy's time"
"Maybe, and maybe Crystal is right. We'll have to wait for the Polyjuice Potion to know for sure."

I watch as Hermione pours in another ingredient into the bubbling cauldron on the bathroom floor, we all helped gather the ingredients and met inside the second floor bathroom to start brewing it.

"Enlighten me. Why are we brewing this potion in broad daylight...in the middle of a girls lavatory? Don't you think we'll get caught?"
"No. No one ever comes in here."
"Why?"
"Because of Myrtle, Ron."
"Who?"

I look behind me at my brother and see Myrtle float out the stall door behind me, she always has a knack for popping up when you least expect her. Since that day in the bathroom I've come back every so often to spend time with her, I've come to pity Myrtle slightly, I've had lots of many enjoyable conversations with her but because she can be quite emotional and has a few outbursts no one goes near her or her bathroom.

"Moaning Myrtle."
"Who's Moaning Myrtle?"
"I'm Moaning Myrtle. I wouldn't expect you to know me. Who would ever talk about ugly, miserable moping Moaning Myrtle?"
"I did."

I'm cut off as Myrtle lets out a scream and flys past us all, diving head first into a toilet and making the water splash everywhere. I sigh and lean back as I shake my head at her actions, she really can be very emotional.

"She's a little sensitive."
"Sensitive is putting it lightly!"

The rest of our lunch hour is spent brewing the potion and talking about school, Ron and Harry mainly talked about quidditch but me and Hermione had a lovely talk about the transfiguration homework we were assigned. Before we knew it, our lunch hour was over and we were packing up to head to the great hall for the new dueling club. We enter the hall and stand by the stage walkway in the middle of the hall as everyone's voices fill the hall as we wait for Professor Lockhart. It isn't long before I look over and see him enter the hall and walk up onto the stage walkway.

"Gather round! Gather round. Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to start this little dueling club to train you all up in case you ever need to defend yourselves, as I myself have done on countless occasions.
