2nd Phase Training

WIthin the Itsuka residence, inside the dark room of Shido Itsuka, the young alchemist in training is seen by his desk with a monitor lit in front of him

Shido: Finally finished!

Shido pumps his fists into the air in celebration for something. On the screen of Shido's computer credits of a dating sim game were rolling.

Shido: Finally the training is over!

(Opening)

Shido: Yawn......

Rinne: Late night Itsuka?

Shido: Yeah....

It was now morning as a drowsy Shido was now walking together with Rinne to school.

Shido: Yawn..... I had to finish that damn dating sim game Kotori insisted was part of my training.

Rinne: I still find it hard to believe that you are required to have the spirit fall in love with you to seal them.

Shido: That's what..... Yawn.... Kotori said.

Rinne: How sure are you that'll work? I mean even Minato-sensei seems doubtful about it.

Shido: I know what you mean but I trust Kotori, and if she says it can save Princess then I won't hesitate.

Rinne: Princess?

Shido: Yeah, it's the code name they gave to the spirit who appeared before. Since we don't know the spirits' actual names we just give them codenames as substitutes that align with the characteristics they have observed before.

Rinne: I see, but still why a dating sim game?

Shido: Who knows, as long as....

Rinne: As long as what?

Rinne turns to Shido, who was deep in thought. In Shido's head all he could think was the sad and lonely look Princess had when he first met her.

Shido: As long as I'm able to get her to smile brightly then I'm ok with it.

Rinne: Pfftt....

Shido gives Rinne a serious look, however he was met with a stifled laugh from Rinne.

Shido: Huh?

Rinne: I'm sorry this whole situation just make seem more and more like a playboy.

Shido: Geez....

Shido gives Rinne an exasperated look, before continuing his walking with Rinne following behind the young rider.

Rinne: You ready to go, Itsuka?

Shido: Yeah, just let me get my stuff.

It was now the end of the school day, and everyone was beginning to head out for the day. Shido and Rinne were about to leave to have lunch until a voice interrupts them.

???: Shin, can I talk to you for a moment.

Shido looks up to find Reine standing before him, with her usual exhausted look

Shido: Rein- I mean Murasame-sensei, what can I help you with?

Shido had to stop himself for a moment from calling Reine by her name to avoid any suspicion from his classmates about his relationship with Reine.
