*Aaliyah's P.O.V*
Zero sits with me, letting me cuddle up with her as she rocks me back and forth on the swing she was sitting on. I loved this swing, it had been my favorite one to swing on and I was so glad it had been enchanted with preservation spells so that it wouldn't rot and fall apart.
"Zee, I don't want to take a nap," I mumble against her chest, feeling her chuckle as she undoes my braid. She had been unbraiding and rebraiding my hair for a while now, just letting me lay in the sun against her chest. It was so bright outside but just laying with her felt nice.
"No one said you had to, you've just been huffy since breakfast and if you did take a nap I would prefer it being before lunch," Zero says, making me huff against her chest. I lift my head up, blinking tiredly at her as I pout slightly. She coos when she sees me, pinching my cheek gently. I swat her hand away with a grumble escaping me. I couldn't believe that she was doing such a thing, I was not a child!
"I don't need a nap and I have not been huffy at all! You've been huffy, not me," I argue, making her raise an eyebrow.
"Says the little girl who is currently pouting on my lap because I suggested she take a nap," Zero says dryly, making me whine as I push into her chest. I couldn't believe that she had the audacity to speak to me in such a way! I would never speak to her that way if she was stuck like I was.
"You're mean, I don't like," I say as I wiggle to get down, whining when she lifts me off her lap. I didn't need her help! I was a big gi- an adult and I could do things without her help. I turn around and glare at her.
"You are not helping your case right now Aaliyah. You do not currently have the body nor emotions of an adult. You are reacting like a child would so I in turn am treating you like one," Zero says. I stick my tongue out at her before turning and running off deeper into the garden, ignoring the rest of whatever she's saying.
I tumble on my short legs, falling over a rock that appeared out of nowhere. I sniffle, feeling the stinging pain in my legs. I sob at the sudden pain that happens in my legs, scrambling up. I look down, seeing how bloody my legs are. I was going to die! I had tripped over a rock and I was going to die.
"Oh little Aaliyah, what is wrong?" Rana swoops in, making me sniffle as I stare at her. She had to have been spying on me, there was no way she was coincidentally just in the garden. And her question was stupid because it was obvious what was wrong with me! I was going to bleed out and die from the stupid cuts on my legs.
Rana scoops me up, humming softly as uses her sleeve to wipe the blood off of my legs. I whimper as I push at her hand, trying to get it away from my legs. She ignores me of course, like always, and hums when she sees the cuts on my legs.
"These itty bitty scratches are what's hurting you? Why do these cause your tears, you're a big girl and these are tiny little wounds to you," Rana says gently as she waves her hand over my legs, her hand glowing. I watch as the scratches on my legs heal, a sob escaping me despite the fact I tried to hold it in.
"Want Mommy," I sob out, rubbing at my eyes roughly. Rana purses her lips, seeming confused as she settles me in her arms, trying to soothe me. I whine and push at her chest.
"You want Mom?" Rana asks, seeming confused as she furrows her brows. I glare at her, pushing at her chest until she sets me down.
"No, want Mommy," I argue, furrowing my brows as I glare at her. Rana frowns, looking confused. I turn my back to her, stomping off.
"Don't run off Aaliyah, not now," Rana says, trying to grab my hand. I glare at her, letting out a frustrated sob as I throw myself on the ground dramatically. Rana tries to lift me up, making me sob even harder when she tries to lift me up. I flail my limbs dramatically, making it nearly impossible for her to lift me up.
"Aaliyah, come on. Let me lift you up, stop with this fit," Rana practically begs as she tries to lift me up again. I let out a bloodcurdling scream, making her jerk her hands away again. My magic fizzles and crackles up, lashing out at her to knock her away.
"Aaliyah!" Miachel's voice echoes around me and I stop my fit, looking up at him with wide eyes. My tears stop as I reach for him, wanting him to lift me up. He scoops me up, resting me on his hip as I cling to his shirt.
"Want Mommy, take," I say, trying to wipe my face off onto his shirt with an angry sniffle. Miachel hums slightly, wiping my tears off gently with his shirt. I smile at him, setting down in his hold.
"Who is Mommy?" Miachel asks, seeming confused as I reach over his shoulder.
"Show me bug," Miachel insists, setting me down. I take off, hearing him follow me as quickly as he can. I nearly fall again but he's close enough behind me to lift me up before I hit the ground. I don't even say thanks, running right back to Zero who smiles when she sees me. She laid down on the swing, draped across it slightly.
"Mommy," I squeal, holding out my arms to her. She seems to freeze, her eyes widening as I stare at her impatiently. I continue to reach for her, making her move slowly as she lifts me up. I nuzzle into her, sighing happily as she rubs my back slowly. I liked being in Mommy's lap, it was so comfortable.
