It was the last week of term and Melanie and the twins were basically joined at the hip. Wherever she went, they followed and more often than not they took Melanie along with them to play pranks.

The three of them were sitting on a blanket outside near the lake. Melanie was reading a book resting her head against Fred's lap while him and George played exploding snap. It was a sunny day and after a while she put the book down and started to simply appreciate the sun rays on her face. She looked around watching as most of the other students did the same.

"What are you thinking about love?" Fred asked as a card exploded right in George's face.

"That I should probably move away before I lose my eyebrows." She laughed. "I was thinking about going for a swim but there's too many people here."

"I still don't know how you managed to spend a whole year here without the whole school finding out that you have a tail." George remarked.

"Maybe not that I have a tail but the rumours about my firebending have become more popular recently." She sighed sadly.

"Don't think about it. They'll forget about it when they go home for the summer." Fred replied as he reshuffled the deck.

"Hopefully." Melanie turned around onto her stomach. "Tell me about summer at the burrow."

"It's always loud." George responded.

"Yeah but that's because you make so much noise." Fred smirked. "We spend our days playing Quidditch."

"Inventing products."

"Going down to the pond."

"De-gnoming the garden."

"Pissing off Percy."

"And then sometimes we stargaze." George finished.

"That sounds like a dream."

"I really wish you could come." Fred said somewhat sadly.

"I know Freddie. But I have a lot of work to do."

"Like what?" George asked.

"Well. There's patrolling Sunnydale with Buffy. I help out Anya with inventory at the magic shop sometimes. Then there's the whole Hell thing. I spend my days signing away demons to their respective districts. Going down to the torture holes to make sure everyone is getting the treatment they deserve. Appearing in front of my subjects, training with Milo, meetings with the ministers and many many more duties."

"So, I know this may sound stupid but is everyone down there evil?" Fred asked.

"No, it's not all hellfire and death. Most Demons and beasts just want to live a normal life in their respective dimensions. Yes many of them are evil but I don't know ever since I've become Queen everyone found a way to co-exist somewhat peacefully. Think of it as a big house with many rooms each room is for something different. The undead-vampires, Anagogic Demons, Incubi and Succubi, Animalistic beings and then your standard torture, despair and pain. The list goes on. My job is to basically make sure the house doesn't fall apart from the inside and that no inhabitants leave, while also earning the respect from the heads of each room."

"Blimey Mel do you do anything fun?"

"Well. The torture holes can be fun." She shrugged nonchalantly but saw George  stiffen slightly. "I'm joking."

"You're not." Fred replied as he smirked at her over the cards. Melanie sent him a devilish grin and flashed her eyes red.

"Hm let me think. I like going to my home district to swim with the other sirens, although we don't always get along, I might be their Queen but purebloods can be so uptight in thinking they're the best."
