Chapter 2 - Fourth of July

Tuesday, July 4th, 20??

Sienna POV

To start off my 4th of July morning, I woke up, obviously, and to no surprise, Green was still sleeping right next to me.

For some reason, I always tend to wake up before him, nearly every single time. The only time I recall him waking up before me was when he stayed up all night doing work, and I wouldn't even count that as waking up before me.

I checked the time, and saw that it was 8:26am, and then I looked back at Green, who was still completely knocked out, and figured I might as well take advantage of this and make us both something to eat.

To be fair, it was a little early, so there wasn't really an advantage to take..

..Anyways, grabbing my towel, I walked into the bathroom and got myself sorted. I showered, brushed my teeth, and dried myself and my hair.

I dressed myself and left the bathroom as I headed toward the kitchen.

I cracked open some eggs and bacon as I used the stove to make our breakfasts. I grabbed two plates and served equal portions in both of them. The time was now 9:20ish.

The smell must've traveled around the house, as supported by the door of our bedroom being opened by none other than Green.

"Heyy, morning!" I said to my favorite person (aside from my parents).

He groaned before opening his mouth to speak, "Guh-mornin' bay-bee..you make-..fuhck..lemme use the bah-room firh.."

I blushed at him calling me "baby", and I responded with a flustered "okay" to his morning dialogue.

About 3 minutes later, he came out of the bathroom looking like a completely different person, to me at least.

"Goodmorning.." He said to me as he came up to me.

I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him, "how'd you sleep?"

He wrapped his arms around my waist, "I slept alright..I just remembered as I woke up that today is the 4th of July!" He exclaimed, "we should go buy fireworks or something, or we can go out if you want. We gotta do something though."

"It's whatever you would want to do," I smiled at him, "I made you food, by the way," as I looked over toward both of our plates.

Now this is what I don't understand, boys' obsession with food. I mean it when I say he sprinted over to that plate and sat down so fast at the table..

I grabbed my plate and sat across from him.

"For real though," he said with his face stuffed with food, "what are we going to do today?"

"Both." I said to him, "let's go out and light up some fireworks too."

He nodded in compliance as he finished his plate and got up.

"I'm gonna shower real quick, and from there we'll do what we gotta do." He said to me as he went back into the bedroom to get his stuff.

"Okay." I replied back as I finished my food too.

I slumped myself onto our couch and put on the T.V., which to no surprise had multiple 4th-of-July specials on.

I decided to just stroll on my phone for a little bit, and I saw all of my friends and their posts about 4th of July and all that good stuff.

One thing I have to mention, after everything that happened in the mall, the old friend group decided to make a new group chat, this time consisting of me, Green, Lenia, Michaela, Erik, and every now and then Khalid would pop in and out.
