Serenity tilted her head as she looked at him, "What do you mean you didn't think it would be?" She asked, confusing laced over her features and tone.

Spencer spoke, it was so much easier to listen when Spencer was speaking — maybe because every word he said with a certain tone, in a certain way, it was so much easier to believe.

Or maybe she just paid more attention.

"Two years ago, our unsub enjoyed the killing, that was his thing, the rape and everything was apart of it but the killing was what he really enjoyed. We thought it couldn't be the same guy, because in the two - almost three days you were with him, he didn't kill you, and when you escaped, he didn't make an effort to get you back" Spencer said.

Serenity hummed, nodding her head as she listened to every word that left the smarter boys lips. "So what?" She said, furrowing her eyebrows.

"We looked back. The day he had taken you was exactly two years since the police locked up who they thought was the unsub — coincidentally, maybe but still important. He said that he couldn't help himself when he saw you, meaning he had been trying not to act on his urged to avoid suspicion — since everyone assumed he was locked up, he was keeping himself safe" Spencer started again.

"But we assume, maybe since you fit his exact type, he couldn't help himself, maybe it being two years made it more difficult for him to control himself — but then two years is enough time to be guilt ridden, which could explain why he hadn't killed you yet."

Serenity cringed when she was reminded of the yet as if a reminder of what she had been through, how her life almost ended.

"We think when you left, the guilt got to him. Maybe enough that he found himself not wanting to chase after you, maybe he was frozen in place because you had escaped, maybe you were too his type, reminded him of someone from his past, which matches the original unsubs MO." Morgan said, after waiting a moment for Spencer to continue, he never did

"We profiled him as someone who had just experienced a loss of some sorts, maybe a loved one, maybe end of a relationship, but we know whoever it was, was a young girl, 20-25, brunette, charming, and known to be a very kind person" Spencer finished after pulling himself out of whatever trance he had been.

"You're flattering me" Serenity smiled, holding her hand to her chest, tilting her head softly as she looked up at Reid. She felt the urge to bring somewhat of a light to the situation.

"Thats the charm" He pointed out, only causing the girls smile to widen.

Morgan raised his eyebrow in JJ's direction who just shrugged back, neither to which Spencer or Serenity noticed.

"What if maybe — and take this with a grain of salt because i'm literally a nobody" Serenity started, a frown fell upon Spencers lips as he processed the girls words.

"But what if maybe it wasn't a loss, or a heartbreak necessarily.. Maybe like a sort of revenge." She muttered, instantly feeling embarrassed at how stupid it sounded.

"What do you mean?" Hotch said, eyebrows furrowing.

Serenity sighed, shrugging her shoulders, "I mean all around his house he had photos of the same women, with a kid, i assumed the kid was him and that was his mother, but she fits the victim description.. Maybe she wasn't a great parent and now he has it out for all brunette women with gorgeous smiles and dazzling personalitys" She said, adding a bit of a joke on the end, just to light it up.

Spencer furrowed his eyebrows as he thought about it, before nodding his head. "Yeah- Yeah that would make sense.. Maybe you were too much like his mother that instead of it being what it wanted it made him feel guilty because he still loves her" Spencer said.

"Girly, what is your major?" Derek Morgan asked, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked at the girl.

"I studied psychology" She said.

"Figures"

"Garcia meet Serenity" Morgan introduced as Garcia walked into the conference room, a soft smile on her face as her eyes laid over the girl.

"Oh if only i looked that good beat up" she muttered eyes settling on the girl. Serenity smiled softly. "You should've seen me right when it happened?" Serenity winked.

"Oh she is charming." Garcia nodded her head at Morgan who had seemed to have told the blonde about the victim, and her 'charm'

Serenity smiled softly at them before looking down, a tint lining her cheeks. She wasn't sure if they were all feeding her compliments because she deserved them or just to make her feel better but she ultimately decided it didn't matter.

"Did he have a job that you know of?" Morgan asked as he returned now on call to the blonde lady she had just met.

Serenity thought back to the conversation she had with the male before the whole incident. She went to shake her head no before she was dawned with a memory.

"Yeah, yeah at a grocery store, one right near the library." Serenity said, chewing at her lip as she realised she would not ever want to shop at that store again.

"Youre doing great." Morgan said. Serenity nodded her head as she looked down at her hands.

"Do you know if he had any close family, friends, anything" Morgan asked, "Did he mention any coworkers" He asked.

"No, just his mother in the pictures, no sign of a father." Serenity recalled, "He - Um, a mike, his manager — he told me about mike giving him a hard time about how he kept showing up late but he always says he couldn't stress the importance in making sure he saw me in the morning.. i thought it was a joke because he was just returning and borrowing new books" Serenity rambled — although all they probably needed was the name.

"Thats perfect, more detail the better" Derek reassured.
