You were lying in your room when you heard your doorbell ring, and it startled you. "Who's coming at this hour?" you frowned as you walked to the door. As soon as you opened the door, you saw a man wearing a dark blue suit on the floor, injured, with his hand on his left arm. "P-Please help me," he said as he threw himself on you, making you frown in confusion. You looked around to make sure there was someone watching you. "I-I'm sorry, but I can't just let you inside my house." you tried to push him away, but he grasped your hands while hardly breathing. "Please.. I mean no harm in your house. I promise." he trembled as he tried to endure the pain in his left arm. You say nothing and look around. No one is there. You stared at his face and sighed before you pulled the man into your house and laid him on the couch in the living room. "Stay here."
Jungkook just leaned his back on the couch and watched your movements. He saw you grab a first aid kit and walk towards him. "Is it okay if I tear the sleeve of your shirt?" you asked politely. Jungkook was aware of the distance you put between you and him but he just ignored it before nodding in agreement. Without saying anything, you carefully closed your gap and began to treat his wounds. Fortunately, you had observed how the nurses at the hospital treated their patients. Though your skills weren't as good as the professionals, you did your best to treat his wounds. "Is there someone I can contact for you? Perhaps a friend? or your family members?" You suddenly spoke while packing the items you had used. Jungkook, who couldn't stop staring at you, hurriedly directed his attention to the ceiling.
"Sadly, I have no one to contact," Jungkook sighed while you nodded in understanding. "Your wound looks so deep. I think it's better if you go to the hospital for further treatment," you said in a monotone voice. It wasn't because you wanted to be arrogant or rude, but he was a stranger, and there was no reason for you to be overly nice, especially since he appeared with such an injury, seemingly running away from a bad situation. "Can I stay here for tonight? I-I don't want to go to any hospital. Don't you think they will become suspicious of me? Don't worry, I'm not running from anyone," Jungkook explained. Actually, he was impressed by your actions. You were not easily trusting and had even tried to reject him several times before he succeeded in persuading you. For some reason, he felt that you had an interesting side, and he wanted to get to know you more.
You just stared at his face while thinking. It's already late at night if something bad happens to him, you will definitely regret it so you have no other choice but to let him stay in your house. "Just for tonight and you will leave in the morning, okay?" you warned as you walked into your room to take a pillow and blanket for him. Thankfully, you have extra blanket for your guest. "Thank you and sorry for disturbing your peaceful night." he smiled, making you felt guilty. How can someone looking so innocent with those wounds? "A-Are you hungry? I still have ramen if you want some?" you offered as you don't want to look so mean. Jungkook just thought for a while and shook his head. "No need. I don't want to bother you even more."
Again, you nodded in agreement. "Then, I'm going to sleep now. If you ever need anything, just knock on my door." you reassured him and walked to your room. Jungkook just stared at your door and sighed. He wanted to talk to you more but he knows that you're not comfortable with him so he just let you go. As you lay in bed, you couldn't help but feel uneasy about the stranger in your living room. Who was he, and what had happened to him? Despite your initial reluctance, there was something about his desperate plea that made you want to help him. You hoped you hadn't made a mistake by letting him stay.
Jungkook, on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking about you. Your cautious kindness intrigued him, and he was grateful for the help. He glanced around the cozy living room, feeling a strange sense of comfort despite his injury. Hours passed, and Jungkook found it hard to sleep. The pain in his arm was a constant reminder of the night's events, and his thoughts kept drifting back to you. He quietly got up from the couch, careful not to make any noise, and walked around the room, observing the framed pictures and knick-knacks that filled the shelves. One picture in particular caught his attention. It was an old photograph of you as a child, sitting on your mother's lap, both of you beaming at the camera. Jungkook couldn't help but smile at the sight. He wondered about your life, your story, and why you seemed so guarded.
