THE JEON FAMILY, with Solbitna in tow, finally arrived at Whimoon High School. The school building loomed large before them, its brown exterior a stark contrast to the modern cityscape surrounding it. Despite being nestled in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul's busiest and most upscale district, the school grounds felt like an oasis amidst the towering office buildings and bustling business establishments.
Jung Hyeok and Jung Ah took the lead, their steps purposeful as they navigated the familiar path to the baseball field. Solbitna trailed behind, her eyes wide with curiosity as she took in every detail of her new surroundings. Jungkook walked beside her, hanging back slightly, his gaze alternating between the path ahead and Solbitna's wonderstruck expression.
As they approached the white bleachers, the buzz of excitement grew louder. The stands were already filling up with a diverse crowd. Adults, likely parents of the players, occupied many of the seats, their faces a mix of pride and nervous anticipation. Interspersed among them were clusters of teenage girls, their animated chatter and occasional bursts of laughter adding to the pre-game atmosphere.
Solbitna's steps slowed as she took in the scene, her attention caught by everything from the meticulously maintained field to the players warming up in their crisp uniforms. She was so engrossed in her observations that she barely watched where she was going.
Jungkook, noticing her distraction, gently placed a hand on her elbow to guide her around a small obstacle in their path. The touch was brief, but it brought Solbitna's attention back to her immediate surroundings. She flashed Jungkook a grateful smile, which he acknowledged with a slight nod before quickly averting his gaze.
As they reached the bleachers, Jung Hyeok turned to the group. "Alright, let's find some good seats. The game will be starting soon."
Solbitna nodded, her excitement building. She scanned the crowd, noticing the group of girls near the front, all wearing matching t-shirts with players' numbers on them.
As they settled into their seats, with Solbitna next to Jung Ah, Jungkook in the middle, and Jung Hyeok on the end, Solbitna continued to absorb the sights and sounds around her. Her wandering gaze proved fortunate, as it allowed her to spot a familiar figure just two steps below them - a girl with a high ponytail who she quickly recognized as Hwang Yoo Rin.
Excitement bubbled up in Solbitna as she realized her close friend was also attending the game. Of course, Yoo Rin would be here to support Jeon Wonwoo. Without hesitation, Solbitna called out, "Yoo Rin!"
The girl with the high ponytail turned, her face lighting up with surprise and joy as she recognized Solbitna. "Oh my gosh, Solbitna! What are you doing here?"
Yoo Rin was accompanied by Juyeon, the housekeeper Solbitna had met during her visit to the Hwang residence. With a quick exchange of smiles and greetings, Yoo Rin and Juyeon moved to sit beside Solbitna and the Jeon family.
