❍❍❍0.44 Would it kill you to allow people to help you?
AFTER THE FIRST week of Kameron's physical therapy sessions, she felt very demotivated and the internal urge to isolate herself from everyone was getting harder to push away
her teammates and coach were very supportive of the girl throughout her appointments— whether it be by accompanying her during her sessions or visiting her in her apartment, they were there for her
the basketball girls also provided ample support to the cheer captain as they would often visit her during their break from practice and stay with her during her therapy because it was the same time as their practicesome of them even volunteered to walk her to her classes and carry her bag for her so she wouldn't strain herself so much
Aubrey was the one who always picked her up for her PT sessions and drop her off before she heads to practice and would always remind her to text her if ever she needed anything
Paige took it upon herself to be the one to drop Kameron back to her apartment so she could also accompany her for dinner and just talk to her make sure she was okay and was in high spirits throughout her recovery
even when her practice would be done before Kameron's session, the blonde would stay at the facilities for as long as she needed while waiting for Kameron
it didn't matter how exhausted she was or how badly she wanted to crawl into her bed and pass out— she would always wait for Kameron
the blonde would sometimes even sleep over at her apartment, in the spare bedroom to make sure Kameron had someone with her if she needed something in the middle of the night and when she wakes up the next day
all of these actions were appreciated by Kameron because as stubborn as she was, she knew she couldn't do everything by herself especially not in her current condition
but god did she feel suffocated
Kameron hated the feeling of having to continuously depend on someone to help her do everyday tasks— even the simplest of things like changing her shirt, she needed Paige to assist her in doing so
the Stevens girl kept her word on doing everything to ensure her fast recovery but that doesn't mean she always felt happy about it
as much as Kameron wanted to rip off the sling on her shoulder and march into their practice gym to join her teammates in their practice she knew that that wasn't the right thing to do and it could only cause her condition to get worse
so Kameron kept her feelings to herself and obeyed her PT's orders, her coach's instructions and her friends' advices
the cheer captain was currently in her bedroom watching her squad's practice from earlier that day on her laptop— as promised, she watched the film meticulously, studying every routine and every dance step that was added— remembering where her position was each step
luckily for her, they were already able to finish half the performance when she got injured so she already knew what to do on the first half and would only have to study the remaining half through watching the videotapes of their practice
