"Thank you," I said.

"For what?" He grinned, looking into my eyes.

I smiled lightly. "For choosing me..."

His eyes unfocused for a moment as his smile faded for the smallest fraction of a second. His lips twitched into a soft grin and he shook his head once.

"You were never a choice. Something I ever had to debate internally for..." he paused reading the doubt in my expression.

"...For a time I never saw you as more than a friend, and then it was like a light switch went off in my head. And there was no doubt, no internal bartering within uncertainty. — There was no thinking about what would be the gain and loss of me choosing either one of you..."

He looked intently into my widened eyes.

"Truly it was like waking up one day and suddenly finding the air itself toxic, unless I was near you. You have no idea how intolerable it was breathing, going day after day of you not knowing how I feel. There is no question, it was never going to be something I had a choice in deciding, whether I should be with you.

You were the air I breathed. Are every reason I could find, to be anything worth being anyone for. Whatever I am, whoever I will become, is entangled with you... If you will honestly have me..."

I continued to stare into his dark brownish-crimson eyes, wearily in disbelief that he could question if my feelings had faltered.

"I know who you are, now," I placed my fingers securely in his.

"You; are," I smiled, in thought. "Everything I've dreamed of; and all I ever wanted..."
