The Binscape isn't just some sort of town in a garbage bin, but there's much more to that other than just being a residence for bugs to mess around in.
The Binscape was first known to the public through a book given out to students researching insects and their natural habitats which first made the rounds sometime in the year 2003 AG (which means "After Gam" for this time period, because as weevils may know, Gam doesn't remember when he was born due to his old age). Later, the Binscape was turned into a crazy virtual world known as "Bin Weevils", named after the place's inhabitants, which was launched in September of that year. It had been pitched to Nickelodeon executives in the UK by Amelia and Myke, who wanted to create a growing social network for kids. It was later proven a hit, with the website gaining lots of clicks throughout 2004 AG, and by then, the "Bin Weevil craze" was only just beginning.
Later in May 2006 AG, short cartoons based off the game were produced by again, Nickelodeon, and aired on British TV. This lead to the website receiving a massive overhaul in 2007, turning it from a 2D social world into a 3D virtual world, with major events such as the creation of Bin Pets, Scribbles' first appearance in the Bin and the launch of his magazine Weevil Weekly, and, of course - the birth of the Secret Weevil Service, also known as the SWS.
The Secret Weevil Service's first mission was The Lost Silver Knight, released in April of 2009, which paved the way for more classic secret missions, such as The Blue Diamond, Jack & The Binstalk and Trouble at Castle Gam. The chief of the SWS was Gam, who, as of 2024, is 120 years old - and he couldn't even remember a single thing about his birthday, neither his age! He likes to tell stories about the Great Bin War, a massive conflict in the Bin, but every time he does, he usually falls asleep - that is, until some weevil wakes him up.
Speaking of the Great Bin War, the spiders were thought to have been extinct after the Great Bin War ended, but there have been some legends since that believe that spiders can steal Bin Pets, or maybe even make curses on the weevil species, but most of them weren't even true back then, as the weevils back then thought that spiders didn't exist, and there were only BEW's (Big Evil Weevils) to be worried about.
However, there has been one mysterious entity that believes that the spiders still exist, and that entity is...
Well, you'll have to find out later, but this evil force wants to get rid of all of the Bin Weevils in the Binscape, and turn them into foot soldiers known as Thuggs to destroy the Bin and plunge the world into chaos. Of course, extermination is this unknown force's job, but they have to complete a series of plans in order to achieve their goals...
That is when the Binscape was "remodelled" in April 2010 AG, bringing a whole new look to the once rubbish-filled area, with a fountain being built (which unfortunately meant that Ink's Orange Peel, one of the Bin's iconic landmarks from the pre-2010 era, had to be demolished) and more areas being either renovated or demolished to make way for new areas. But then, in August 2011 AG, a huge phenomenon had just struck that would change the SWS forever...
On this exact day (August 20th, to be precise), everything was looking normal in the Binscape, that was until Gam called SWS agents Tink and Clott for an important meeting to tell them that Posh's pampered Bin Pet, Lady Wawa, had been kidnapped by a then-unidentified Bin Weevil, and taken to Mulch Island. There, agents found a legend about the Bin Pet Gem, saying that a Bin Pet would have to juggle in the Bin Pet Temple in order for the gem to appear, but all weevils are warned that the gem could hold very dangerous powers if taken to the wrong hands. Eventually, the SWS rescued Lady Wawa and saved the day, but the Bin Pet Gem had still fallen into enemy hands, and the culprit, now known as Weevil X, escaped from the temple, but he had accidentally lost his medallion whilst trying to escape from the SWS.
Now, the agents are tasked with searching for this enemy agent who had mysterious plans for the SWS, and of course, they had to head off to Mulch Island again, but Agent Clott, not knowing about what the buttons could do on the SWS Helicopter, accidentally dropped all of the supplies onto the shore, and it's their job to gather them all, with a few friends helping them out on the way.
But there was still one more challenge for the SWS to take on during their mission - and it was to get the Bin Pet Gem back safely from these mysterious enemies, but they already knew that it would be a hard task - and hard indeed it was. They had already defeated the Thuggs guarding a mysterious lighthouse, which had been converted into a tower by then, but it was now time for the real challenge - to stop Weevil X and put this mysterious enemy's plans to rest once and for all. But little did the SWS agents know that they would be in for a shocking twist, and that would be one that the agents would never forget...
This is their story.
