“Hello?” Courtney’s marvelous voice boomed through Jacob’s phone. “Hey,” I said calmly. “Jake?” She sounded confused…I laughed. “Guess again,” I walked out of Jacob’s room and into the guess bedroom. “Di-Diggy?” I smiled. “Yeah, it’s me.” I lay on the bed across from the TV. “Hi!” She sounded so happy. “Hi sweetie,” Sweetie? Oh snaps. I laughed at myself. “…Sorry if that made you uncomfortable.” I put my head down. “No…” She took a deep breath. “It didn’t, I just wasn’t expecting that.” I smiled. “…You’re so cute when you’re vulnerable.” She mumbled, and I bit my lip. “Well maybe I should be vulnerable more often.” I smirked, reaching for the remote. She giggled. “Yeah…maybe you should.” I laughed at her words. Gosh…I love talking to her. “So what’s up?” She asked. “Nothing, with Jacob. He’s boring me so I decided to give you a call.” I flipped through the channels. “Ah…I see.” I nodded. “Yep, so what’s up with you?” She was quiet for a moment. “Nothing much…thinking of you.” She mumbled, and I smiled. Awe… “Oh really? What about me?” I wanted to hear this. “About how I can’t wait until tomorrow just so I can be with you.” Awe…she’s so sweet. “Stop it…you’re making me blush.” I tried to stop smiling but I couldn’t. This girl has a spell on me. “Sorry,” She giggled. “It’s okay…I can’t wait to be with you-” I took a deep breath. “Yo D, where you at!?” I heard Jacob yell from down the hall. “Is that Jake?” Courtney laughed, and I rolled my eyes. “Mhm.” I sat up. “In here,” I said. “Give me my phone,” He held out his hand and I sighed. “Courtney,” I didn’t want to do this. “Yes?” I closed my eyes. “Jacob wants his phone back…so um I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” It hurt me so much to say those words. “…Alright.” I hung up the phone and gave it to Jacob. This guy’s always ruining moments…Gosh.

“Running a little late there, huh?” Courtney smirked as I plopped down at my desk. I took a deep breath…I was out of breath from running. “Overslept,” I looked at her, and she laughed. “Ah,” She nodded and I leaned over towards her desk and kissed her cheek. She blushed. “Did you sleep well?” She questioned, tapping her pencil along the desk. “Yeah…only because I was dreaming of you.” I winked at her, and she shook her head. “The lies…” She snickered. “It isn’t a lie.” She stared at me with a raised eyebrow. “What was I doing in your dream?” She folded her arms across her chest. “Whooping my as-behind in basketball.” She squinted at me and I shook my head. “Yeah…you better say behind.” She waved her finger from left to right, and I laughed. “But that would actually happen in real life.” She smirked, pushing her hair back. “You know, I play ball right?” I bit my lip…I found that really attractive. “Um…now I do.” I would love to play one-on-one with her. I’d probably get killed but…still. “That’s really cool. I don’t know many girls that play basketball…” I was suddenly really nervous. Calm down, Diggy… “You okay?” She looked worried. “Yeah,” I smiled, and she nodded. “You know, we should hang out later today.” She crossed her legs. Um… “I mean, it’s okay if you don’t want to…” She looked really sad. No… “I would if I could…” I mumbled, looking at her sadly. “But I’m going out to dinner with my family and friend Roger…” She took a deep breath. “It’s fine…we’ll just hang out another time.” She gave me a fake smile. Man…I hurt her again.

“Yo Roger!” I screamed as I ran down the steps. “Hey what’s up, Digg?” He stood in front of the door. “Nothing much man…ready to eat!” I laughed and gave him some daps. “Ro, you left me.” I short light-skinned girl said from behind him. She grabbed his arm and tangled her fingers with his. She had long brown hair with black glasses. She reminded me of…Courtney. God, how I wished I could be with her. “Roger…who’s this young lady?” I smiled at her. “This is my girlfriend, Shairie.” She smiled. “Hi, I’m Diggy,” I reached out my hand towards her. “Hey Diggy,” She shook my hand. “Hey, Digg, where’s your slow parents?” Roger laughed. “They’re coming,” I laughed, and so did Shairie. “Good…’cause I’m starved.” I shook my head and Shairie laughed.
