Hiding in Dark

The next day at school was an unusual one, marked by a palpable sense of tension and unease. Everyone seemed to be on edge, their eyes constantly scanning the hallways and classrooms for a glimpse of Eren or Sera. But neither of them was anywhere to be seen.

Spark and Flare arrived early, hoping to catch Eren before classes started. They checked all his usual spots—the gym, the cafeteria, even the quiet corner of the library where he sometimes went to think. But there was no sign of him.

Lisa and Alice, driven by their own guilt and worry, split up to search different parts of the school. They checked the courtyard, the sports fields, and even the rooftop, but their efforts were in vain. The absence of both Eren and Sera was like a heavy cloud hanging over the entire school.

Spark's Pov

I felt a knot of anxiety tightening in my stomach as I moved from one classroom to the next. Each time I poked my head into a room, I hoped to see Eren sitting there, maybe with his head down, avoiding eye contact. But every time, my hopes were dashed. It was like he had vanished into thin air.

Flare caught up with me near the science labs. "Any luck?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.

I shook my head. "Nothing. It's like he just disappeared."

Flare sighed, running a hand through his hair. "And Sera?"

"No sign of her either," I replied. "This is bad, Flare. Really bad."

Flare's Pov

Spark's words echoed my own fears. The guilt from yesterday's confrontation was still fresh in my mind, and the thought of Eren and Sera being missing only made it worse. I couldn't shake the feeling that we had pushed Eren too far, and now we were facing the consequences.

"I feel like this is our fault," I said quietly.

Spark nodded grimly. "Yeah, me too. But we need to find them. We need to make this right."

Lisa's Pov

After school, I met up with Alice near the front gate. The day had dragged on endlessly, each class feeling like an eternity as my mind kept drifting back to Eren and Sera. The worry gnawed at me, making it hard to focus on anything else.

"Any luck?" Alice asked, her face pale with concern.

I shook my head. "Nothing. I even checked the library again. It's like they both just vanished."

Alice bit her lip, her eyes filled with worry. "We have to keep looking. We can't just leave it like this."

The group gathered near the front gate, a sense of urgency driving them to search beyond the school grounds. They split up into pairs, each taking different directions to cover more ground. Spark and Flare headed towards the park, while Lisa and Alice decided to check the mall and nearby cafes.

Spark and Flare walked through the park, their eyes scanning every corner. The park was a place Eren sometimes went to clear his head, so they hoped he might be there. But as they walked past the playground and the benches, there was no sign of him.

"Maybe he's at the old basketball court," Flare suggested.

Spark nodded. "It's worth a shot."

They made their way to the court, their footsteps echoing on the pavement. But when they arrived, the court was empty. Spark kicked at the ground in frustration. "Where could he be?"

Flare put a hand on his shoulder. "We'll find him. We have to."

Lisa and Alice checked the mall, peering into every store and cafe. They even asked some of the shopkeepers if they had seen Eren or Sera, but no one had any information.
