"Look it's not difficult to understand, Williams is an opportunist. A gold digger. The people are saying that she was dating Kate Martin first. I wouldn't be surprised if she started dating Martin to get closer to Clark."

"Why would she need to date Kate to get closer to Caitlin? She was already working with Caitlin. Look if you watch the videos and the interviews, it's Caitlin who is into Jessica. This happens to athletes all the time, they meet a pretty reporter, and they chase after them. Look at Jimmy Butler and Rachel Nichols. Only difference here is Clark actually got Williams."

"Look Clark is young-"

"Oh give me a break! They're both young! You've seen the videos! Caitlin was all over that girl. She's in love with her."

"Because she was seduced!"

"Caitlin wanted to be seduced!"

Melody enters the living room with two cartons of ice cream and hands Jessica one. Jessica takes the ice cream and instantly sets it down on the coffee table as she keeps her attention on the TV screen, watching the commentators argue back and forth about what was the truth of Jessica and Caitlin's relationship.

It had been about two months since Jessica had moved from Indiana and back to her childhood home, the Old House. As soon as she left Caitlin's apartment she'd gone to work and turned in her two weeks' notice and this time, both Julie and Jessica were ready to accept the fact that she wasn't coming back to WXIN.

So for the past two months, Jessica had been sitting on her couch, watching as people debated over the status of her relationship with Caitlin. She'd heard every take there was and had been called so many different things, a whore, a slut, a gold digger, an opportunist, even a harlot. Anything that would describe a woman with many sexual partners, Jessica had been called it.

"You shouldn't watch this," Melody says, "It isn't good for you."

"But we're at the part where they're going to call me an evil seductress," Jessica says dryly as she looks at the screen.

Melody sighs, "Has Caitlin called?"

"Why would she do that?" Jessica asks, "According to her I never had anything to lose, and no one cares what I do. Including her."

"What are you going to do?" Melody asks.

"I'm waiting to hear back from my tryout," Jessica mutters, "Once I get word I will be overseas and away from all of this."

"Does Caitlin even know you tried out for the team? Does she even know that you moved out?"

Jessica shrugs, "I don't know, and I don't care."

Melody stares at Jessica, "Is that why you sit here and watch videos of the two of you? And I'm not talking about the ones you made for everyone else, I'm talking about the two of you just being Jessica and Caitlin."

Jessica flinches at the words and looks over at Melody, "What do you want me to say? That she hurt my feelings? She did. But what am I supposed to do about it? She made her decision. She chose basketball. She doesn't want me."

"Jess-"

"What makes it worse is the Fever didn't even make the playoffs," Jessica says with a frown as she grabs her ice cream and digs her spoon into it, "If you're going to dump me, at the very least do so going to the playoffs."

"Maybe she thinks you guys are still together? I mean the words 'we're done' were never spoken," Melody suggests.

"No but it was heavily implied when she told us being together was a mistake," Jessica says, "Oh and there's the fact that we haven't spoken in two months and she's letting me be called everything under the sun. Whore, slut, harlot, need I say more?"
