Chapter 3: The Initiation Part 1

Y/n was sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. It seems like nothing could disturbed him from his slumber..... Until something did.

???: WAKE UP, LAZY BUTT!

Y/n groaned in annoyance and got up to look at the perpetrator and saw a hyperactive ginger girl talking to a Guy in green with a magenta streak in his hair looking like he was just done with everything.

Y/n: That guy has my sympathy...

Y/n went to stand but felt something tugging him down. He looked down and saw Ruby snuggling his fluffy tail.

Ruby:(talking in her sleep) so soft.

Y/n smiles and shakes his head. He remembers when Ruby used to do this when they were younger, usually when she was scared or nervous. He didn't really mind it. Y/n then carefully moved his tail out of Ruby grasp much to his sleeping sisters annoyance. Y/n then went to get ready for the day.

Timeskip

Ruby, Yang and Y/n were at their weapon lockers getting ready with Initiations today. Y/n put on his cloak and was checking his ammo making sure he has enough when the same ginger girl and magenta streak guy walk by. The ginger girl was still talking to the guy since they woke up.

Ruby: Wonder what those two are so worked up about?

Yang: Oh, who knows? So, you seem awfully chipper this morning!

Ruby: Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking. (strokes Crescent Rose as she sighs happily)

Yang: Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together.

Ruby: (sighs in frustration) You sound like Dad! (shoves her weapon into the locker) Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!

Y/n: Ruby, milk helps strengthen bones, it doesn't grow them.

Yang: But what about when we form teams?

Ruby: (suddenly nervous) Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or Y/n's team...

Y/n: I think it would be fun if we were all on the same team.

Yang: (Bringing her hair around her shoulder and stroking it) Maybe you guys should try being on someone else's team?

Ruby: (looks at Y/n) My dear brother Y/n does our dear sister Yang, implying that she doesn't wish to be on the same team as me or you?

Y/n:(playing along): I believe so my dear sister Ruby.

Yang: What? No! Of course, I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you guys... break out of your shells!

Y/n: I'm not a Turtle Faunus.

Ruby: What the-?! we don't need to 'break out of my shell'! That's absolutely-

Jaune: Ridiculous! (suddenly walking in between the sisters, holding a map and looking lost) There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday! I would've remembered having to count that high! Why does this have to happen today?

Y/n: (to his sisters): I'm gonna help Jaune find his locker. (to Jaune) Hey! Jaune I'll help you find your locker.

Jaune: Really. Thanks Y/n!

Y/n: Yeah, yeah.

Jaune and Y/n pass Weiss and a scarlet haired Spartan girl as they ready themselves at their lockers.
