Gwen speeds out to the top of the tower and lands opposite of Nine. They growl and go to tackle each other. A shockwave bursts from the tower, blowing them both back, but they stay standing on the tower.

"Nine, enough. We can still end this. Together." Gwen said.

She dodges a series of bullets.

"Together?" Nine asked, annoyed.

Nine floats up while Gwen speeds around the tower.

"You only care about getting back to your precious Green Hill. And you even hurt my feelings by yellimg at me."

Nine fires more bullets down to the edge on the tower, causing Gwen to halt.

"I care about all of this. You, the Shatterverse, and everyone inside of it. I know you do too. And that Prism power--" Gwen started.

"Is my ticket to protecting my new world. Once I take the remaining Prism energy that's in your brother, the Grim will be saved. Look around. You've already lost and you don't even know it. Your so-called friends won't be doing any more fighting. Meanwhile, my army has one purpose: To get your brother's energy." Nine interrupted, Gwen turning back to look around the Grim.

Grim Birdies fly up towards the tower and tries to grab Gwen. She leaps off part of the structure, spin attacks one of them and lands on another, looking at Nine.

"It's gonna take more than just a few knockoff robots to slow me down."

Gwen jumps off at the opportune moment to defeat a Grim Birdie using its own bullet.

It spin attacks three more of them. Nine grunts as Gwen lands back on the tower. Nine points its mechanical tails and gathers energy from the Paradox energy beam.

"Need... more... power!"

The dome fluctuates, with purple rocks appearing in the starry sky.

Inside the tower, the Paradox Prism starts shaking. On the ground, grim robots flicker and restore power as Sonic looks around.

"It's working. They're losing power." Sonic said.

Alpha Grim Sonic's eyes open. Gwen watches on and Nine continues generating prism energy. The dome starts shrinking, with battlefield crystals disappearing through the dome's edge.

"Sure you can handle all that juice, pal?"

Nine turns to Gwen, with its mechanical tails glowing white. It shoots at Gwen, causing her to fall off the tower. She screams as she heads towards the spiky crystals at the bottom of the citadel.

"Catch her before she hits the spire. I need to her safe from being hurt and need Sonic's energy." Nine ordered to the Grim birdies as they swoop down.

Sonic sees Gwen falling and runs to save her as his shoes start glowing. He jumps, catches her and lands on appearing panel tiles to avoid the spikes.

"Huh?" Sonic questioned as he appear when he puts his foot down.

"Sonic, what happens to your shoes?" Gwen asked.

"I was wondering what these puppies do in this place."

"Then, take me back to the tower"

"On it. Get ready for some fancy footwork."

Sonic speeds out along the tiles while carrying his sister to take recovering before using her wind power. Grim Birdies attack him. He ducks under to dodge one of them and jumps over the other one. He starts spinning along the tiles and Homing Attacks both of them. He peels around towards the tower at the top of the citadel and looks at Nine.
