A lot of words are left unsaid when you break up with someone and leave them crying in the middle of the woods. He watched as she walked away, one final glance towards him as she disappeared among the wind in the trees. He sat there for a bit, in the leaves and in the mud. He still felt the warmth of her small hands in his, the way they had so perfectly fit right at his knuckles. That just made him cry more.

He lay in bed that night, sleepless. Ravi didn't remember how he got home. It didn't matter. What mattered was that Pip was gone and she wasn't coming back anytime soon.

Nisha came to check in on him often, bringing him food and giving him hugs. He left his room after 3 days. It took him two weeks to go back to normal- as normal as he could be. How can someone be normal after they watched who they were 100% sure was the love of their life walk away? Saying it was for their own good, no matter how much they both didn't want that? Didn't want to leave each other?

He sat at his desk, mulling over another days work at his lawfirm. Stupid. Ravi thought most things were stupid now, without Pip. Meaningless. Even himself. Did she think about him often? Did she think about him at all? Those were the most painful things to deal with. What if she had moved on already, found someone else, another person to replace him in Team Ravi and Pip?

No matter how much he tried, he couldn't resent her. Months passed. Nothing changed, but he tried to push her to the farthest place in his mind. Murder trials took months, years to ever start or go anywhere.

He just needed something to get her off his mind. Something to take up his time, take away the pain. But what? And what would this "cure" cost him?
