Jin was a bit taken aback by how...softly and gently Jungkook said his name.

"Yah, what do you want? Just say your business fast, I have a lot of work to do," Jin said hurriedly, his arms crossed defensively.

Despite his best efforts to seem in control and unbothered, he couldn’t shake the unease growing in his chest. The sparkle in Jungkook’s eyes only added to his confusion—why was Jungkook, usually so rebellious and confident, suddenly so nervous? He also seem excited to see Jin, but why?

Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to steady himself as he stood before Jin. "J-Jin... I have something important to say."

"I know, so just say it," Jin replied, keeping his arms crossed, trying to mask his rising anxiety.

Jungkook seemed to be struggling with his nerves, which only frustrated him further.

"Y-you see... gosh, why the hell am I feeling so nervous? Jeon Jungkook, don’t forget who you are," he muttered to himself, shaking his head before finally meeting Jin’s gaze with a determined look.

"Jin... I-I—" But the words caught in his throat, and he cursed under his breath for stammering.

Then, summoning all his courage, Jungkook blurted out,

"Ah, Jin, I like you! Will you date me?"

The silence that followed was deafening. Jin’s eyes widened in shock, his mouth falling open as he processed what he had just heard.

Meanwhile, Jungkook stood with his hands clenched into fists, feeling a mix of relief and dread now that he had finally voiced his feelings. But as the seconds ticked by without a response, his fear grew.

"No fucking way! Are you joking here? If you are, then Jeon Jungkook, joking about something as sensitive as love isn’t funny at all!" Jin shouted, his voice laced with anger and disbelief.

Jungkook flinched at Jin’s outburst, his heart sinking as he realized that his confession might not be received the way he had hoped, ofcourse it was also natural. He could see the fury in Jin’s eyes, and it made him feel small, vulnerable—a far cry from the confident, rebellious persona he usually carried.

Jungkook gulped and tried to say again, "Jin, it's true. I really feel for you...i really like you—"

"NO! Don't Speak." Jin cut him off and stared at Jungkook, his heart still racing from the unexpected confession. His anger and confusion swirled together, making it hard to think clearly. He crossed his arms tighter, trying to maintain his defensive posture. "Don't speak at all, because it doesn’t make any sense!" Jin shot back, his voice sharp. "We barely know each other, also we are literal enemies and now you’re suddenly saying you like me? How am I supposed to take that seriously?"

Jungkook's expression hardened, his initial nervousness giving way to frustration. "Why do you think it’s a joke? Don’t I have anything better to do than joke about this?" he retorted, his tone growing more annoyed. "Do you think I’d go through all this trouble just to mess with you?"

"How am I supposed to know that?" Jin countered, his voice rising. "You’ve always been that—how can I trust that you’re being serious now? People like you don’t just—"

"People like me?" Jungkook interrupted, his eyes narrowing. "What does that even mean? You don’t know me as well as you think, Jin. Just because I’ve acted a certain way doesn’t mean I don’t have real feelings!"

Jin was taken aback by the intensity in Jungkook’s voice, but he quickly recovered. "And why should I believe that those feelings are for me? You can’t just drop something like this on me and expect me to—"
