Irene was sat at one cafeteria tables, wanting to ignore everything around her as she quietly ate her lunch. There was music playing in her ears as she read the book she had gotten from Mobius as a welcome to the TVA present. This was her hundredth time reading (she wasn't exaggerating either) and as she read and listened to the melodies in her ears, she didn't notice the seat in front of her being taken up by the man she called her best friend. Mobius looked at her and smiled, tapping her head with his finger. Irene looked up and her mood immediately brightened.

She took her headphones off, the music leaking from the Walkman in front of her. "Sorry for running off earlier Mobius. Too much socializing for my taste." She said, setting her book aside as she ate her food. He chuckled.

"It's fine. But I do have to wonder, since when did you and a Loki get along? That's very uncommon." He said, opening his salad, yet he didn't touch it.

She scoffed, "we made a truce." Irene shrugged nonchalantly.

"Of course you did," he shook his head. "So, you knew he was stalling us? If Ravana finds out you helped Loki mess the mission up, she'll prune you." He warned.

"He's a liar and a master manipulator, how did you not understand what he was doing?" She raised her eyebrows. Mobius shut his mouth and contemplated her words. she was right, the God was, after all, was a silver-tongued serpent.

"I hate when you're right," she smirked.

"Glad to be of service, my league." She said, shoveling more of her lunch into her mouth.

"You are something, you know that Irene?" He said, taking a bite of his Salad. She smiled.

"Of course, how else will I be able to keep you on your toes," she winked. She liked these little moments with Mobius. Everything seemed right in the world whenever she spoke to the older man, and she'd never admit it to him or anyone else, but she even considered him as a father figure.

As the two sat in silence, reveling in their alone time together, Irene saw that Loki had found them, and the moment was ruined. She honestly was wondering where the man was. "I found something." He hit Mobius on the back with the file in his hand. Irene quirked a brow, wondering what he meant.

"No, I said. "Don't bother me until you've read all the files." Mobius said.

"I have." Loki stated.

"Every file?" Mobius questioned.

"Yes."

"Pertaining to the Variant?"
