You were on the way to a trade, or I should say, a trap. You knew it, but there was no way to escape. It was not uncommon to be set up by others in the treacherous world of the mafia, however, the unexpected twist of events this time has left you in a desperate situation. Despite not having committed the betrayal, a plethora of incriminating evidence points towards your alleged disloyalty to your comrades.

Wooyoung's face betrayed anxiety, stealing glances at you through the rearview mirror intermittently. Yet, you maintained a composed demeanor, regarding mortality with the ease of death. Words eluded him. You, the superior, him, merely the driver. He dared not impede your path.

"We have arrived," his fingertip trembled as he touched the button to activate the door. You nodded and got ready to leave the car.

"Hey, don't go," Wooyoung's voice shook with concern as he tried to stop you. He couldn't help with it. His unexpected plea elicited a chuckle from you. "Why?" you inquired, intrigued by his sudden change in demeanor.

Struggling to find the right words, Wooyoung grappled with his conflicting emotions. He knew he shouldn't feel anything for someone like you, a ruthless mafia boss. He knew he shouldn't break the rule. But─

"Sometimes things that subordinates can't handle have to be solved by the boss, right?" He was pulled back to reality by your words, only seeing you unhurriedly pull the safety catch of the pistol and hold it skillfully in your hand. "It's lucky then we'll meet again, there shouldn't be much of a chance though," You sneered, knowing that it may be the last time you see him. "Don't worry, you'll be free after I died,"

Walking away without a backward glance, you left Wooyoung muttering to himself, questioning your risky choices and his own unbidden concern for you. "Tsk...What did you want to pull a stupid stunt like that for...Don't you wanna live anymore?Y/N?" These words were spoken to you as well as to himself.

Why should he be so worried about you? There was no reason for it. He has always followed the rules─never know too much, never betray your boss and engage in relationships with your boss. These were the lessons instilled in him by the underworld. Wooyoung has witnessed the tragic consequences of rule-breaking. If he desires to avoid a similar fate, he should simply walk away and feign ignorance.

He could be free. Isn't that what he wants for so long? He contemplated, torn between conflicting feelings.

The blare of trumpets suddenly shattered the moment, snapping Wooyoung back to reality. With a swift maneuver, he narrowly avoided a collision with another car, the impact throwing him forward in his seat. "Fuck...," he cursed, frustrated by his lapse in focus.

He had never been so distracted.

"Damn it!" Driven by an overwhelming sense of worry for you, Wooyoung made a split-second decision. Ignoring the danger, he pressed down on the accelerator, headed straight for your location.

As the tires screeched against the pavement, Wooyoung's heart raced with a mix of fear and determination. The streets blurred past him as he navigated through the chaotic city, his mind consumed by thoughts of you. The memory of your smirk, the glint of the pistol in your hand, and the way you had effortlessly commanded the situation replayed in his mind like a broken record.

Finally, he reached the designated meeting spot, his heart pounding in his chest. The sight that greeted him made his blood run cold. There you were, surrounded by a group of armed men, your scarred body was covered with crimson blood, and you couldn't even stand straight.
