I felt weirdly grateful when he took my bag. "Thanks, Taehyung," I said, giving him a small smile. It wasn't a big gesture, but somehow it still made my heart flutter. I turned to Jimin and added, "And thanks for the directions. Seriously, you guys should go to class. I'll be right back."
Jimin shook his head with a warm smile. "It's fine, we'll wait for you near the staircase."
Taehyung nodded in agreement, clutching my backpack in one hand. "Yeah, we don't mind. Take your time."
Jungkook grinned, leaning casually against the wall. "Besides, we're always late for every lecture anyway."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, if, you're sure. I'll be quick, I promise."

As I walked to the washroom, I could hear them chatting behind me.
"Did you finish the marketing assignment?" Taehyung asked, his voice louder than the rest.
"Oh, which marketing assignment? When was that?" Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise.
"Not yet" Jimin replied. "I was too busy reviewing for the finance exam."
Jungkook's shock deepened. "Review session? What's that now? Why do I have no idea about it?"
Taehyung smirked. "Probably because you never pay attention in class, Jungkook."
Jimin chuckled. "Yeah, it's one of the topics Professor Kang mentioned yesterday."
Jungkook looked confused. "How come no one told me?"
Taehyung laughed. "We did tell you. Multiple times. You were too busy doodling in your notebook to listen."
Jungkook's mouth hung open. "Wait, wait, wait... I doodle for one day and suddenly I'm out of the loop? What should I do now?"
Jimin grinned. "Well, you weren't just doodling but slept whole lecture."
Jungkook scratched his head. "Great, just great. Next time, someone slap me with the assignment sheet or something!"
The sound of their voices faded as they stopped near the staircase, and I stepped into the washroom. It felt nice, having them wait for me. It may mean nothing to others, but it made me feel included for the first time, like I belonged with them.
