Ayaan's pov
I squinted my eyes while getting up, as the sun rays were blinding my view, I rubbed my eyes then I took my phone from the nightstand and checked the time, oh no I'm late for the uni. It was 9:30 and no one had even bothered to wake me up. I jumped off the bed and made my way to the closet and took out my dark green hoodie and a dark blue jeans. After freshening myself I descended the stairs while raking my hand in my hairs. A common habit of mine.
My mom was sitting on the couch with her phone speaking with someone. She glanced at me as I descended from the stairs and then she widened her eyes in bewilderment.
"Didn't Maryam wake you up?!" She asked looking concerned.
"I don't know, I woke up to find that it's already 9:30" I replied nonchalantly. As if she cared maybe she did I don't know, I feel like she don't even notice anything except her smartphone and yes! Maryam her favourite daughter, but I like her as she's my youngest sister. My elder sister is married and is living happily with her husband and a 2 year old little munchkin Fathima Abdul Azeez in Florida, and my elder brother married to the love of his life Ruqayyah 2 years ago and they are staying in our hometown. My mom shifted to Bangalore with us just for Maryam even though I insisted that I'll take care of her. And my dad, he passed away 4 years back while returning from Hajj, making our life turn upside down but alhamdulillah! I have accepted it and moved on.
"You can't miss your college, have your breakfast and depart from here" my mom said sternly breaking my thoughts.
I rolled my eyes and took the chicken roll from the counter and dashed out of the house. I head to the garage and sat in my Silver Ford and put the key in the ignition and started my silver beauty, it roared for some time and then I drove quickly out of the driveway.

I was skimming through the WhatsApp and I replied to all the messages, the class had already begun so I went directly into the cafeteria. I scanned the room as I heard some murmuring from the corner. I glanced at the direction of the voice and saw to ladies clad in abaya and niqaab. As I focused the sound, I felt like I have heard this voice before, si I got up from my seats and went towards them. As I neared , I recognized the owner of the voice so I moved further towards them.
"Hi Hannan" I chirped, her eyes lit up in recognition. When I met her for the first time, I fell in love with her dark brown almond shaped eyes. She had applied a thin liner back then. But now she hadn't even applied anything yet she was enchanting to look at.
God! I'm head over heals for her!"Hello" she replied shyly looking down at her plate. She looked very cute! I wished she didn't wore her niqaab, but then Alhamdulillah I got the glimpse of her the first time we had met when she wasn't wearing the niqaab. Astaghfirullah! I mentally slapped myself for thinking haraam. Her friend looked at her questioningly maybe as to ask who I am but she didn't say her anything. I assumed she might say her later.
"What are you doing here?!" I asked her.
"Umm.. Was late to the class so......" She trailed off. She looked like she wanted to ask me something so I was eagerly waiting for her but I guess she changed her mind at the last moment.
