To his horror, he realised he'd been this way before. He thought that image in the mirror was new, strange, unfamiliar. But all he had to do was look through his memories. When he really studied himself, he noticed the details. His relationship with Virgil had always had traces---did Virgil make this part of him stronger? Had he been connecting with another side all this time?

Was there another side...to Logan?

With Roman in his room, refusing him entry, he couldn't fix any of the damage he had caused. He could at least try to help Thomas. And when he popped up, he quickly saw Thomas was a mess. He was lying on the couch, hair nearly as messed up as when Virgil had disappeared. He held his phone near him but wouldn't turn it on. He just kept checking the lock screen, presumably for texts or other notifications. He didn't have any water nearby him, and Logan suspected he had a dehydration headache.

Logic sighed. "Thomas. What is going on?"

"What? Nothing. Nothing's going on."

"Clearly something is going on. You are immobile, untidy, neglecting to take care of yourself."

"...yeah."

"Are you still worried about Nico?"

"No. Well, yeah. I don't know. I feel..."

"Yes?"

"I don't know! I don't know how I feel. It seems like all order has gone out the window."

"Out the window? Thomas, why are you keeping your window open? It's the middle of summer. You'll heat up the house."

"No. Not that. Just. I don't feel like myself. I can't bring myself to follow any of my routines, and I know that bothers you, but it all just feels pointless. And I know it isn't pointless. I know I need to care for myself. I just can't."

"You certainly can. Poor mental health makes things difficult, but we have tools to manage that. Are you panicking? You can try a breathing exercise. Breathe in for four seconds. Hold for seven seconds. Then breathe out for eight. We used this when we visited Virgil's room, remember?"

"Sure, but I don't think that's gonna help. I don't really feel like I'm panicking."

"Well, you should at least get yourself a glass of water. Dehydration can cause a myriad of negative symptoms that may be worsening how you feel."

"Can you get it for me?"

"Thomas, I'm not physically here. Only you can get yourself a glass of water. Are you incapable of standing?"

"I can, I just...can't."

"That is contradictory."

"I know, I know. I just. I know I can stand. But I'm not motivated to. I'm just exhausted, and...confused."

Logan looked around. It hurt to see the apartment so messy. "Your puzzle is still on the coffee table," he said. "Would working on that help you?"

"Maybe?"

"Then you should give it a try. I know you don't feel motivated. But your wellness needs you to act. We can figure out why you're feeling what you're feeling in due time, but sitting here immobile, without any food or water, is only going to make things worse."

"Okay." He sat up. Logan watched him work on the puzzle. It felt strange to be here, overseeing such a similar activity as when he had tried to help Thomas through cleaning his apartment, without Remus popping up. It felt oddly quiet. Of course, Remus may make himself known yet. There was always the possibility. But for now, he wasn't here.
