Going traveling with the man that had adopted you seemed like a fun summer trip
Who knew that it would lead to you gaining a watch that doesn't even tell the time
Useless, am I right?
In Arizona at a Navajo reservation, Max was catching up with an old friend of his, Wes Green, while admiring a dreamcatcher on display at a market. Behind them, you were yawning, tired because Ai woke you up early to say something to you, only she never said it. Just babbling about something only to say never mind. And even further behind you, she was talking to Gwen
"So... What'd he say?"
Ai didn't look in her friend's direction as her eyes traveled elsewhere "Uh..."
"You did tell him. Didn't you?"
"Maybe?" She said, sheepishly
Gwen scoffed in disappointment "Come on, Ai. We set this up and everything"
"I know, I know. I just froze, that's all"
Up ahead, Wes, Max's old colleague, continued to chat with Max

"Navajo legend says the web of the dreamcatcher protects the dreamer by holding the nightmares in the center, while the good dreams travel down the feathers to bless the person sleeping"
You yawned again, still tired "Speaking of sleep. Can we get this over with, I'm trying to catch some z's" You said, a girl performing a native dance in your peripheral. Turning your head, you saw her and grinned "And things just got a bit more interesting"
"I'm sure you remember my Granddaughter, Kai, Y/N?"

"Sure do, be right back" You said splitting from the group
"Wes, last time I saw her she was barely walking. Now look at her" Max chuckled
"She's performing a ceremonial Navajo dance"
Ai watched with a suspicious gaze as you stopped at the edge of the circle she was dancing in. Crossing your arms, you waited for her to finish as the others came along and stood behind you. Ai leaned over to Gwen and covered her mouth before whispering "Who's that?" She asked only to gain a shrug in return
You weren't here to watch her dance really, only to surprise her when she was done. None of this stuff really interested you after all. I mean, how could they considering the things you've seen so far? Robot aliens, regular aliens, squid aliens, a watch that can turn you into said aliens. The whole nine yards, so, seeing these kinds of things is cool and all, but it doesn't hold a candle to what you've already looked at
