Apart of a Team

Returning from the scuffle down in town centre I was exhausted- so was everyone involved. Sitting across from me on the bullhead was Team RWBY, Ruby and Blake had fallen asleep as Yang and Weiss sat there making sure their teammates were alright. Looking over I saw Teams JNPR and SSSN chatting about their experience on the missions they had been assigned whilst taking it easy. Glynda, Bartholomew and Peter all stayed behind to help any civilians who was hurt in the escapade. Finally next to me was Team CVFY with Velvet leaning her head on my shoulder as she looked up to my wandering eyes and gave a soft smile. "You were very cool today Ben." My girlfriend...(still feels weird to say it, but in a good way) smiled.
"You did too...speaking of the battle, how did you guys get down to town so fast Coco?" I asked as the fashionista looked away whilst whistling.
"I was in the area at my favourite clothes store, which was destroyed in the attack." Coco said quickly as Yatsuhashi let out a sigh.
"We were spying on your date." He confessed as both mine and velvet's faces grew red as blushes formed on our cheeks.
"C-Coco you promised me you wouldn't spy!" Velvet stuttered softly.
"I had to make sure everything was going alright, I had to fend of Cardin and his goons for the sake of your date." Coco justified as Fox nodded.
"They were going to approach until we jumped in and kicked their asses...then they had no aura and got hurt during the invasion-" Fox awkwardly added.
"I think it's deserved personally; Karma's a-" Coco was about to finish her sentence but was then interrupted by Ruby who butted into the conversation.
"Deserved, maybe he'll learn to hold back now." Ruby grinned.
"Maybe Coco will next as well then, learn to leave us to ourselves for our next date." Velvet huffed as she glared at her best friend.
"...not likely." Coco responded awkwardly as we all let out a laugh.
"So...there will be a next date then?" I asked as Velvet looked up to me with a red face as a grin formed on mine.
"you know the answer Ben." Velvet pouted before burying her face in my jacket when it started to buzz- more specifically my pocket.
Taking out my scroll from my pocket I saw I was getting a call from Penny, deciding not to waste any time I answered it and put the phone up to my ear. "Hey Penny, what's up?" I answered.
"Salutations Ben, I just wished to inform you that Ciel and Alan are due to arrive at beacon at 9pm." Penny stated happily as I nodded.
"Got it, I'm a bit tired after the fight in Vale can I meet them tomorrow?" I asked.
"Yes of course. I heard about the fight, is everyone alright?" Penny asked curiously.
"Yeah, we're all exhausted though...Ruby and Blake are napping across from us." I mentioned.
"I would like to request a picture of sleeping Ruby." Penny responded quickly as I looked up at Yang.
"Penny wants a picture of Ruby sleeping, you good with that?" I asked as Yang nodded.
"I'll send her one now." Yang responded.
"Yang's sending you one." I said as I heard the shutter of Yang's scroll proceeded by Penny giggling lightly.
"Well, talk to you tomorrow Ben." Penny responded before hanging up the call.
"When we get back to Beacon wanna grab some food before heading to the dorms?" I asked Velvet as she nodded.
"Yeah, let's." Velvet smiled softly as the bullhead continued rising towards Beacon Academy.

The next day I was waiting in the courtyard for Penny to arrive alongside my two new teammates; Ciel and Alan. From what I understand, Alan can turn into one of Heatblast's species so he must be from my universe...I hope he is anyways. Sitting on a bench, I opened a news article covering the details of the attack in Vale yesterday. In the article it sung the praises of the brave students who fought off the Grimm whilst professional huntsman gathered into the city in order to quell the attack, it also spoke of a huntsman with the ability to turn into monsters...what followed was a video of me turning into Way Big and destroying the gigantic Nevermore. "Well, there goes my peaceful life." I sighed as I read the comments talking about how powerful of a semblance I had, and how glad they are that I didn't side with the Grimm.
Continuing to read the comments one word was repeated in most of the comments...those calling me a hero. I should be used to being called a hero- I mean when I was 10 I was saving a ton of people...but this is the first time I'm ever publicly getting recognised for my actions, so I wasn't sure how to feel to say the least. As I sat, deep in thought about how to continue, the sound of three sets of footsteps entered my ears. Looking up I saw Penny guiding two people towards me. On the left side of Penny was a dark skinned woman with short black hair; she wore a plain white shirt with yellow buttons, a blue skirt with the same yellow as trimmings, a blue beret and on her forehead was a piece of gold jewellery. On the other side of Penny was a dark skinned guy around my age with short black hair, a white shirt as well as grey jeans on, he also had a plumbers badge attached to his hip. "Salutations Ben, let me introduce Ciel Soliel and Alan Albright- my two teammates." Penny smiled Ciel bowed politely and Alan gave me a wave.
"Nice to meet you Ciel and Alan, I'm Ben Tennyson." I introduced as I got up to my feet and offered a handshake to Alan, who took it.
"Nice to meet you Ben," Alan said before noticing the Ultimatrix "Your watch, it has the same symbol on it as my badge!" Alan exclaimed as I nodded.
"Yeah, in my universe it's the universal symbol of peace...you also come from earth, right?" I asked as Alan nodded.
"Yeah! It's such a relief that someone else from home is here." Alan sighed as Ciel spoke up.
"I apologize for interrupting the conversation however I would like to see one of your transformations that was reported on." Ciel asked.
"Where did you read about Ben?" Alan asked as Ciel furrowed her brow.
"The article I sent you that you refused to read." Ciel glared at Alan as he flinched and immediately looked away.
"I see...any transformation in particular you want to see?" I asked as Ciel nodded.
"Show me the alien that took down the Nevermore." Ciel demanded as I flicked my watch over to Way Big and slammed my hand down on the image of the To'kustar.

In a flash of green I could feel my body grow, my bones all changing to be super thin as my skin turned green and black, with green lines all across the black part of my body. "Upgrade? Oh come on, I wanted Way Big!" I complained as Ciel rose one of her eyebrows.
"That doesn't seem to be 'Way Big'." Ciel commented as I sighed.
"Yeah, the Ultimatrix sometimes refuses to give me the alien I want." I explained as I looked at Alan who had stars in his eyes.
"I've seen this guy before! In a news article years ago you were one of the aliens that were reported to be on earth!" Alan exclaimed.
"Yeah, that was me." I said before turning back to my normal form "So, any idea on how you got to Remnant?" I asked, wanting to get to the point.
"I was running away from cops who thought I stole my plumbers badge, then this portal opened, and I fell through. Next thing I know, I wake up in the middle of Atlas and Ironwood is letting me join the school until I can get back home." Alan explained.
"Well, at least we now know a portal was used for you to come here." I sighed.
"Yeah, hey so you used to turn into a Pyronite right?" Alan asked as I nodded.
"Yeah, he was the first transformations I unlocked." I responded.
"Could you help me get better with my Pyronite form?" Alan asked as a smirk formed on my face.
"Alright...training is on."
