Inaya

I knocked on Sir's office door as I realized my phone was in his office. It was time to go home now as everyone left except me.

I opened the door myself when I didn't hear any response from inside. I stepped inside to see he was not here. I sighed in relief as I'm glad I'm able to avoid him. My mind is getting dirty and my heart is being idiotic whenever he's infront of me. So the best is to avoid him.

My phone was placed on his desk just like I'd placed it. I took my phone but accidentally his pen fell. I sighed and took a step to bend when it rolled off a little under the desk.

I rolled my eyes while muttering incoherent words under my breath. I pushed his revolving chair a little as I bent down to pick the pen.

I crouched in such a way that if someone walks in they wouldn't be able to see me as I was completely hidden behind the desk.

As I was about to stand again, I heard the door burst open followed by Sir's voice.

"Yeah right!" His voice came. I was still in a crouched position. "Don't be sarcastic now." I heard Haroon bhai's voice.

"Why don't you get serious then? Stupid."

"Why are you calling me stupid Zain?" Haroon bhai whined. "Because you suggested something so stupid! How do you expect me to just go and tell her that I have feelings for her? Do you think it's easy?" Sir's frustrated voice was heard.

Wait. Feelings? He has feelings for someone?

My stomach churned and I gulped a thick lump formed in my throat. Why am I feeling like this?

"Ofcourse it's not easy. But you should give it a try. What if she has feelings for you too?" Haroon bhai said. I felt like wishing that the one he likes doesn't like him back. I mentally groaned at my stupid thought.

"Feelings?" He scoffed before continuing. "I'm sure my name is the first in her hate list." He said, dissappointment obvious in his voice.

Haroon bhai was about to say something when my phone suddenly started ringing loudly.

I declined the call and as I was standing up my head hit the desk and I winced loudly.

"Owwchh."

I looked at them and they exchanged a look. "I'm sorry! Really sorry. I wasn't eavesdropping. I swear I just came to take my phone and..and the pen fell then you guys came. I didn't hear anything. No I did but I won't tell anyone. No sorry I don't know know what I'm–"

"Inaya. Breathe." Sir said and I released a breath I didn't knew I was holding in. I was about blabber again but he shook his head.

"It's okay. You can leave." Is he mad at me? He's asking me to leave. Does he mean to leave his office? I mean to resign this job?

My eyes widened. "I'm asking you to go home Inaya. I'm not firing you." His voice made me look at him and he blinked his eyes as if reassuring me.

I nodded before walking outside. "Wait." I turned around when I heard his voice. "We are going to Paris tomorrow evening as you know Mr. Martini wants a meeting there. So pack a bag for three days and I'll pick you up tomorrow evening."
