[05] - It's complicated!

I stared at the clock that was hanging on my living room wall and looked back down at the television that was playing my favourite show, 'The office' I pulled out my phone from my pocket and opened it seeing a few notifications. I swiped and unlocked it just looking at the spam messages, I started deleting them till my phone rang, I picked it up giving the caller a few seconds to speak. "Hello?" I spoke but no one replied on the other end. I thought to myself for a while, 'It must be a prank call..' I heard breathing from the other end.

"Listen if this is a prank call it's not funny." I said seriously making the other person at the end speak. "I never got the chance for thanking you." I raised my brow and cleared my throat, "I'm sorry, what?.." I asked in a confused tone. "Thank you for bandaging my nose." They spoke and hung up the phone, I sat there starstruck with a very confused face on, I put down my phone on the table beside me and shook it off thinking, 'Wrong number probably.'

I looked up from my phone and stared at Danielle who was typing away on her keyboard working. I took a sip of my coffee and finished it, I stood up drawing her attention towards me, "You're done? So soon?" She asks while she kept typing not looking away from her screen. I nodded, "Yeah, it's almost the weekend I just want the case I'm working on to be finished already." She hummed in response.

"Are you.. investigating on her?" I placed my phone in my pocket and cleared my throat, "Who?" I asked while taking a seat Infront of her, she shakes her head and speaks, "That Kim girl, the one you kept complaining about.. are you investigating on her?" She looked at me and stopped typing shutting off her laptop and closing it. I nodded and stood back up walking out of the door. I opened the station door with Soobin greeting me and walking beside me.

"Miss Hanni, the other reports that was being pushed onto Kim Minji was been confirmed to be true, the other victims she'd killed were found." He spoke handing me six photos of the victims bodies. "Have you found their identification?" He shook his head and rubbed his chin. "We haven't found any identification for the victims yet, I feel like she burned their Id's or something." He sighed.

I sighed and nodded, "Let's go to my office Soobin, we'll investigate together." I gestured him towards my office with him nodding. I opened my office door and he took a seat while I walked over to the blackboard, "Look, now I have a total of 12 people to identify..just help me with this, try to look up people with the surname Choi and find something, anything absolutely anything to identify them. After you do we'll try to find their families, co-workers, friends we need more information." I said seating down on my chair and watched him nod. "I'll do my best Miss Pham." He spoke grabbing a document from my desk and started reading it. I opened up my laptop and looked up a few people, I sighed.

'This is going to be a long day.'

KIM MINJI

I watched the clouds slowly moving in the light blue sky with a nice gentle breeze making my hair flow, I looked back down and got up from the chair I was seating down on. 'This is pretty calming to be honest, I never get to relax like this.' I smiled to myself and closed my eyes taking air in, I spent a few minutes by myself when I felt a presence beside me.

Turning my head I saw Haerin staring at me with a blank look on her face standing beside me, "Hey, Minji." She waved with a soft smile, I looked at her and gave a small wave. She locks her arm around mine and places her head on my shoulder. "Wanna take a walk?" She asks, "Sure, I was planning to." She nodded and we started to walk around the quite big yard.

"Do you like her?" I looked at her confused and asked, "Huh? Who are you talking about?" She looked around and brought herself closer to me. "That detective, I saw how she pressed down on your throat." She said whispering into my ear then placing her head back down on my shoulder. I took a few moments to process what she'd said and looked at her, "How.. How'd you see it?" She smiles.

"I was sneaking through the halls, then I heard commotion and recognised your voice..I looked through the slightly opened blinds and saw you being pinned down with her hands around your neck." She then points to the red marks around my neck and puts her hand back down, I watched her put her hand down and shook my head. "No..no I don't."

I headed towards my cell and fell on top of my bed looking at the ceiling with a few thoughts going through me, I wonder if that detective had some sort of kink for strangling people of something..or I'm just going insane from being here for to long. It's already has been 4 weeks since I was trapped in this jail a.k.a earth's hell.

I kept staring at the ceiling till I eventually got up and sneaked through the halls of the station I wasn't supposed to be in but whatever, right? I made my way towards her office and looked inside and saw her with a man reading reports  or something, I leaned in bit hearing them slightly from the window. 'You're going crazy Hanni! Just listen to yourself!' the man shouted while getting up from the couch he was sitting on.

'You don't get it! Listen, I don't know what I am currently feeling but I'm not crazy!' she yelled back getting up from her desk and slamming her fist on it while the man looks at her with a disgusted expression planted on him. 'Your feeling stupid shit for that hooligan?!' His brows furrows with fiery madness in his eyes. She looks at him and rubs the nose of her bridge with an annoyed face. 'Soobin just..'

The man named Soobin raises his fist and slammed hardly on her desk making a dent, she flinches looking at his fist then back up at him. 'YOU'RE A DETECTIVE, SHE'S THE CRIMINAL!' He yelled loudly with the sound exiting the room and echoing through the empty and plain hallway. She looks at him and furrows her brows raising her hand and pointing towards the door.

'LEAVE! NOW!' She yelled like a mad cat in a fight, He crossed his arms and scoffed walking towards the door, I looked at him opening the door and I ran away quickly back to the cells. I shook my head and thought. 'I have to do something about this.' I clenched my fists and walked towards Haerin's cell. Once I arrived I leaned on the bars with my arms crossed.

She looks at me and waves, "Need something Minji?" She asks looking back down at the puzzle she was doing. I nodded and watched her place each puzzle piece, "We're gonna meet this guy named Soobin." I looked at her seriously. She looked back at me and understood.

THIRD PERSON POV

Hanni was tired from today from working, from investigating, from everything. She opened the door to her house and shuts the door walking upstairs. She headed inside her bathroom and took off her clothes getting inside the shower, the hot water hitting her smooth skin and making her hiss a few times with her head against the wall looking down at the water that was falling into the drain.

She soon finished and wrapped a towel around her body and exited the bathroom changing into her comfy house clothes and heading downstairs to find Danielle sitting by the dinner table on her laptop with a blue rectangular light on her face. She looks over at Hanni and speaks.
"You seem tense, wanna talk?" She stopped typing and closed her laptop putting it away by the side.

Hanni nodded and took a seat Infront of her, "Did you fight with someone? If you did you should've won." She asks leaning back on her chair while the girl Infront of her shook her head and sighs ,, "I don't get it.. I'm feeling such strange feelings. It's bothering me!" She groans in frustration and covered her face with her hands while Danielle just nodded. "I see, what are those feelings, Hanni?" She places her hands together and closes them waiting for a response from her roommate.

She shakes her head confusingly, "I don't know Danielle.."

"It's complicated!" She groans placing her head on the table.
