◉6◉ Unknown Feelings

Jake's POV

"Gosh why do I always suck at rock paper scissors?! How unfair! Tch!" Heeseung brought the wrong flavor of ramen and apparently he's too "lazy" to go back and return it, so the 7 of us decided to play rock paper scissors, and whoever loses has to return it, yet just like always, I lost in it, since I absolutely suck at it. So here I am, proceeding towards the convenience store,
I took the shorter route even though it leads through the dark alley way where not much people are present and its said to be pretty unsafe, but I'm a man, I can certainly protect myself,
I was peacefully walking until I heard loud footsteps which seemed to be in a fast pace,

Its sounds like they're ahead me
As I walked further ahead, the footstep sounds got more prominent, I could see a really dark shadow, not clearly though since the street lights aren't working in this alley way, but I could see shadows of hairs flowing, the figure came even more close and painfully bumped into me which lead me to stumble but somehow I managed to stabilize myself, I shifted my gaze towards the person, it was a girl, or more like someone I did not expect.

It's her..

The same girl I had an eye contact with in the ground, earlier today
"Mysterious girl?"
I remembered her with this name, from the very first impression, she looked tough, someone who's strong and independent, someone who can protect themselves, but the condition she's present in right now, isn't someone I'd describe as strong enough to protect themselves,

I noticed her trying to open her eyes just the slightest bit.
"Please... Don't kill me"
My grip around her tightened, as I pulled her closer me and engulfed her in my arms, and just then I felt all her body weight fall upon me,

even though she's a stranger to me, I still have a feeling, A want inside me, that's forcing me to protect her, somehow my heart is beating loudly, yet I can't figure if its looking at this girl or maybe the thought that a stranger just fainted in my arms,

Author's POV

Jake was waiting outside the room where Sunhee is being checked up by the doctors, while walking back and forth, waiting for the doctor's return to inform him the reason that lead Sunhee to faint,

Sunhee's personal cabin's door was heard open, that was entirely paid by Jake, as he got alerted ready to hear what the doctor has to say, "What happened to her? Is she fine?"
"Your relation with her is...?"
"Uh-uhm I'm her friend, close friend, she actually suddenly fainted which worried me so I thought I should bring her to the hospital" Jake didn't really know what he was supposed to say, and close friend was the only option he could think on, since if he said she's a stranger to him who came running panting heavily, bumping into him and fainted, that wouldn't really make sense for someone to hear since it's not likely everyday for a woman to faint in a strangers arms.
"I see, there's nothing to worry about, extreme hunger and dehydration has caused her to faint, as well as her stress and anxiety levels were extreme which worsened her condition but everything seems fine for now, but for reassurance we'll be running a few tests" Jake gave out a sigh in relief, "Thank God, can I meet her?"
"Yes, but she's sleeping, so please do as you wish" and with that being said, the doctor left.
Jake made his way inside the room and took a seat on the couch placed inside the room, he inserted his hands in his pocket and took out a name tag, her name tag that was handed to Jake by the doctors.
A heavy sigh escaped past his lips as he started at the name tag in his hands, he stood up from the couch and took slow heavy steps towards the bed and stood beside it, he gazed at the name tag then towards Sunhee
"Sunhee... Park Sunhee..."
He whispered under his breath whilst staring at the girl infront of him lying peacefully on the bed with drips and IV's attached, He don't know what he's feeling inside, maybe he's too soft hearted to see someone in such state or maybe because it's her in such a state.
