Third Person's Point Of View

Maloi glanced at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already 11 PM.

Her eyes narrowed in concern as she noticed that Matt still hadn't come home. She paced around the living room, her worry morphing into frustration. She had hoped to enjoy a quiet evening, but instead, she found herself increasingly anxious.

Just as she was about to step outside to check on him, she heard shouting coming from the street below.

Colet was on her way to her bike and had just locked it up when she heard the commotion. She hesitated, her intuition telling her something was wrong.

The shouting grew louder, and a woman's scream pierced the night. She followed the sounds, her steps quickening as her concern deepened.

As Colet rounded the corner, she saw a man standing over a woman, his hand raised threateningly.

Without a moment's hesitation, Colet stepped forward. She didn't need to think twice. Adrenaline coursing through her veins, she executed a swift kick to the man's back.

He crashed to the ground, landing beside the woman with a thud.

Meanwhile, Maloi had stepped outside, her heart pounding as she searched for Matt. The street was eerily quiet except for the distant echoes of shouting. Her search led her to a shocking sigh, Matt was sprawled on the ground, wincing in pain.

Maloi rushed towards him, but before she could reach him, she noticed Colet standing nearby with a steel bar. Colet's grip on the bar was tight, her body tense, ready to swing.

"Hoy! Anong nangyayari rito?" Maloi yelled, her voice cutting through the night with urgency.

Colet's intense gaze softened when she saw Maloi. Her surprise was palpable, and she momentarily faltered. "Loi?"

Maloi didn't waste time on pleasantries. She ignored Colet and hurried to Matt, helping him to his feet. Matt, his face twisted in anger and embarrassment, glared at Colet, his fists clenched by his sides. "Ayos ka lang ba?" Maloi asked Matt, concern evident in her voice.

Matt, more focused on his rage than his own injuries, snapped, "Ayan oh, nagsisimula." He pointed accusingly at Colet, who still held the steel bar, her face flushed with indignation.

Colet's anger was visible, her knuckles white around the metal bar. Her eyes blazed with unspoken fury, and she struggled to control her emotions. She faced Maloi, her voice trembling slightly as she explained, "Eh naabutan kong sinasaktan niya yung babae."

Maloi turned her attention to the woman, who was now quietly whimpering and wiping away her tears. Maloi's heart sank as she realized who the woman was the same woman Matt had been caught with in a restaurant last year. Matt denied her.

The memory was seared into her mind, and the sight of the woman brought back a flood of painful recollections.

Maloi's expression turned to one of cold detachment as she released Matt, her mind racing. She walked slowly towards Colet, who was still gripping the steel bar, her face showed concern for Maloi.

Matt, Colet, and the woman watched with bated breath as Maloi approached.

Without saying a word, Maloi reached for the steel bar. Colet hesitated, her eyes reflecting a blend of relief and reluctance. Slowly, Colet's grip loosened, and Maloi took the bar from her. She glanced back at Matt, her expression was unreadable.

Maloi is now standing next to the girl. She faced Matt, her gaze unwavering. He looked at her, desperation in his eyes. "Loi! Please, 'wag!" he pleaded, his voice cracking.

Maloi scoffed and turned away from him, her face set in a determined expression. She began to walk towards the parking lot.

Matt, realizing what Maloi was about to do, ran after her, trying to catch up. "Loi, please!" he called out, his voice strained. "Tama na, it's not what you think!"

Maloi ignored his pleas, her stride unyielding. She was focused on her destination, her mind made up.

Colet, watching from a distance, was stunned by the unfolding drama.

The woman, clearly shaken, had fled the scene, not wanting to be caught up in the escalating tension between Maloi and Matt.

Finally, Maloi stopped in her tracks. She stood still, her back to Matt. He ran up to her, his face flushed with anger and desperation. "Please, hun! Enough na, it's not what you think it was!" he begged, his voice echoing in the quiet night.

Maloi turned to face him, her eyes cold and resolute. "Enough na?" she repeated, her voice a steely whisper.

She continued, her tone clipped and resolute. "Hindi. Nagsisimula pa lang tayo, Matthew."

With a swift motion, Maloi swung the steel bar, smashing it into the side mirror of Matt's car. The loud clang of metal against metal reverberated through the street.

Matt was stunned and tried to wrest the bar from Maloi's grip, but she was relentless. She continued to strike the car, each swing fueled by her rage and hurt.

Colet, standing on the sidelines, observed the scene with a mixture of satisfaction and concern. She knew the damage being inflicted was cathartic for Maloi, she didn't feel a pang of sympathy for Matt.

As Matt finally managed to take the steel bar from Maloi's hands, his frustration reached its peak. He grabbed Maloi by the chin with a rough grip. "Sabing tama na!" he shouted, his anger evident in every word.

Maloi chuckled, finding a twisted sense of amusement in provoking her cheating husband. Her eyes sparkled with a mix of defiance and dark humor. "Pati ba naman ikaw, nagagalit?" she teased, her voice laced with bitterness.

Suddenly, Matt was kicked again, this time by someone else. He fell to the side, sprawling on the ground. Maloi turned to see Colet standing there, a smirk playing on her lips.

Colet looked down at Matt with disdain. "Ang ingay mo naman," she said dismissively, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Maloi brushed off her dress, straightened it, and looked down at Matt with a mixture of contempt and finality. "Maghanap ka nang matutulugan mo ngayon," she said coolly.

She turned and started walking away, leaving Matt and Colet behind. Matt, still reeling from the confrontation, called after her, "Saan ako matutulog? Sinira mo na sasakyan ko!"

Maloi yelled back, her voice cutting through the night. "Message mo mga kabet mo, baka may space sa kanila."

Colet watched Maloi walk away with an approving smile. She couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in Maloi's strength and resolve. It was clear that Maloi had not lost her fierce spirit, even after everything that had happened.

Colet glanced at Matt one last time, a final touch of pity in her gaze. "You just lost a treasure," she said, her voice low.

With that, Colet turned and followed Maloi, leaving Matt alone amidst the wreckage of his car and his reputation.
