DRINKING IS BAD. VERY VERY BAD. SO IS STAYING OUT WITH YOUR BOYFREIND most of the night because you felt bad about ruining his birthday.

"I brewed some High Point and brought you some aspirin for the headache I'm sure you have," Mom said, entering with a tray, and I sat up wearily.

"Thanks, Mom," I murmured, accepting the mug.

"So, I saw that you invited Jughead's dad to your little soiree last night," Mom remarked, sitting at the edge of my bed.

"Yeah, I thought it would be nice," I replied, swallowing the tea hard.

"And he was talking to a long-haired delinquent in a leather jacket," Mom continued, pressing for details. I hesitated, too fatigued to filter my response.

"You mean Joaquin?" I said without thinking.

"Is that his name?" Mom asked, intrigued.

"They know each other through the Serpents. He's sort of dating Kevin," I explained, reaching for the aspirin.

"What? A Southside Serpent dating the Sheriff's son? This town might be small, but it's not that small," Mom remarked incredulously, and I shrugged wearily, squinting against the headache.

I was seated in the blue and gold room when Veronica walked in, carrying a coffee and a bag of some sort.

"Hi there," I greeted her with a smile, pushing my computer away.

"Decaf skim latte and a fresh scone," she announced, placing the cup and bag on the table. I chuckled softly. "The last time you brought baked goods was because you kissed Archie."

"Clare... I just testified on my father's behalf and helped his chances of going free," Veronica said seriously, taking a seat beside me.

"That's good news, right?" I asked, trying to gauge her mood.

"My dad hired Jughead's dad to trash the drive-in. Given recent events, it's possible he might've hired him for other jobs too. Maybe even going after Jason as payback for what the Blossoms did to him," Veronica explained with a sigh. "I want to help with your investigation. I want the truth."

I smiled warmly and nodded, reaching out to gently squeeze her hand for comfort.

Whatever it is, whether you believe in order or chaos, in the end, it's the same... We are either in control of our lives, or just think we do.

People often say that the death of Jason Blossom changed everything at Riverdale High. But some things, like certain traditions, remain unchanged. Take Homecoming, for example. Despite Jason's jersey being retired, the Riverdale Bulldogs would still face off against their arch-rivals, the Baxter High Ravens, with the River Vixens cheering them on. Just like in years past, alumni from days gone by would return to town, either to relive their youthful and carefree days or to make up for lost time.
